lost a good amount of pi materials in a new production line. anyone else problems like that?

my steps

1) T1 import to launchpad1
2) T1 to facilities
3) T2 from facilities to launchpad2
4) T2 to facilities
5) T3 to launchpad2

somewhere between 2) and 3) i lost about 5 cicles of materials
(producing 6 T2 products, 5 products lost one cycle each.)
everithing rebuild and started clean after i found similar discrepancies in an actual line.
input of an equal and calculated and recalculated ammount of matierials
and all planetary links within their parameteers

there can“t be any differences except there are any new rules for material fading.
if the setup where wrong (e.g. wrong route) there would be a much higher loss in that 20h period.
anyone similar problems?
do i have to report a bug here?

I've seen a similar problem when initially setting up a factory operation. Ive only seen this pop up when doing the initial setup of links under a specific condition. Here's the method i used to see it happen.

1) Harvest T0 goods and deliver to storage silo
2) set up factory to produce goods. Apply
3) set up link of T1 processed goods back to silo. apply
4) set link to deliver t0 goods to factory (at this point of establishing link it will deduct 3,000 raw mats). Apply
5) Upon applying after establishing link, another 3k raw mats will get delivered to the factory.

I wonder if this process above is similar to the issue you are having?

Thats working as it should.
The first 3000 are for the current circle, the second 3000 for the next to come.
All kind of factories work like this.

From what you describe, you should be getting full production. The only things I can think of are this:

1. You have more of one material than another and the scarce material ran out, leaving some of your factories idle until a fresh supply could be imported
2. One of your launchpads was completely full when a factory tried to deposit an output there, thus wasting it.
3. One of your factories did not have its inputs/outputs properly routed. Factory planets have a LOT of links and it can be easy to make a mistake or forget a route.

If you are still losing materials and none of the above problems are the cause, a bug report may be in order.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.
