PI ratio of basic factories to advanced factories

Hey everybody,

I started PI a few days ago to get my feet wet, and now i am training it up more so i can increase my output. I think i might have messed up my factory ratios when i first started PI. I have been looking closely now at the cycle times the buildings run at. Assuming raw material gathering isnt an issue:

For every 1 advanced factory (1 hour cycles) 2 basic factories (30 minute cycles) of each type of tier 1 material needed for tier 2 should be able to keep up with the advanced factory right?

-Advanced input 40 units of each type of tier 1 per hour
-Each Basic output is 20 units per 30min, 40 units per hour

So the output of the advanced should be 'stable' right? without having to wait for materials. Only time that would ever happen is if the raw input for the basic factories goes below 3000 units per 30 min cycle.
