POS anchoring sucks

Anchoring of the towers is fine, but arranging modules around the tower is an exercise in frustration. There really should be some options from the POS 'Manage' screen to arrange modules, especially those outside the bubble like guns, ECM, to a few patterns. Have a gun be anchored at a few places around the structure from the POS management screen (orthographic view would be awesome so you could place them in 3 dimensions around the bubble easily. Grid lines for keeping things on a certain plane. It would allow for customization of layout but would be far easier to deal with than the current system of moving the green box around in space and having to change camera view as it moves off in the distance. Since items can be anchored all the way out to the maximum distance when it's initiated from within the bubble I don't see much change gameplay wise, just a saving of the sanity of POS operators Big smile

Also, making the selected item red in the diagram when it's too close to something would help too.

If we really wanted to be flash, having POS 'fittings' like we do for ships would be AWESOME. Pop up a new POS? Use a saved fitting provided you have all the modules launched within the bubble area.

Yea, I didn't think it was just me that had a problem with them. You'd think with enough people suggesting a way to improve things then it could be done. I like the ideas presented in the link you provided, Kusum, pity the pictures didn't load for me but sounded good.
