True, he didn't say passive align, but have you ever tried mining properly aligned, even at base warp speed? Its annoying as hell, and your orca can't keep up.
Yes. You have enough range without even using range links on the Orca to mine for 2½ cycles, and the Orca doesn't have to keep up — it has 80km tractor beams.

there have been dozens of guides on how to live through hulkaggeddon written by miners and gankers alike.

If you have had more than one hulk destroyed then you deserve everything you get.

Dont mine two jumps from Jita.

Dont mine Ice near Jita

holy moly its things like this that make me want to open 20 accounts with 3 throwaway dessie accounts and just circle jita killing anyone in a mining ship
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

It's totally true, surely you guys remember all the times when Hulkageddon happened before and CCP went bankrupt?

That's not just me, right?

Right?

Don't you just wish we could see the face of this person in RL. I'm fascinated by people like this. So much so that I want to see if they look like I think they would. I'm sure they would not. In my minds eye, I see some slobbering pencil neck with bad self image and way to much time on their hands. In reality they may look just like any other person.

fascinating!

I like to imagine that during moments like this someone from CCP will come in and say:

"Complacency? This - Is - EVE!"

Cue epic montage of shiny lasers, lots of exploding ships, ending with OP's Hulk getting doomsdayed into space dust.

Um, Hulks are subcaps so you can't Doomsday them?

Events like hulkageddon is what separates Eve from the other MMOs, those kind of events are what made me believe that Eve's sandbox is real and will always be the sort of thing that keeps me and a lot of other people for playing the game.

Eve is a dangerous place, it doesn't matter where u mine or hunt npc's or do missions.
The game is a PVP game, it doesn't have different servers for pvp and non-pvp players.
Yes it has different professions but no where will u read its safe.
Take the steps to protect yourself and don't expect CCP to do it for u.

You look, sound and whine like a cast member from Jersey Shore. I shall, therefore, use small words whilst talking to you.

Your post is bad and you should feel bad.

There, now stop whining about EVE dying, especially when it's not, and if you don't like how the game is going then shut up and quit.

Make 2 off-grid warp to spots roughly opposite each other with the belt in the middle. Align to spot A @60% speed until you're alomst out of mining laser range, then reverse and align to spot B. At the sped a Hulk travels at, you get about 2-3 cycles between each re-align.

…and by then, your Hulk should be full so it's time to warp out anyway (making that align spot a good place to turn around and dock or even anchor your own little can field) or to spit out another can for your hauler to pick up.

Your entire premise that these functions are bad for eve renders your entire argument moot. Would it make you feel any better, if you were told, these events, drove down supplies of various items, thereby raising demand, and causing people to make isk from the outcome?

I love miners, they mine the mins needed to make the ships I like to fly around in pvp with. But the world does not evolve around them, and they need to understand there are more reasons to kill them, then for their tears.
