PCN from council, parking ticket (UK)

Found a parking ticket on my car (boooo!)

but I opened it up and the details are not correct..

they have the vehicle registration plate wrong, by one letter is wrong, should be K but they put an X

also vehicle make is wrong as well....

I would appeal but then they would get the right details and appeal could fail..

most people say I should just ignore it, as they have the wrong details so any further notices will fail as vehicle reg doesn't exists as all (I checked)

what do i do?


Also when I go to their website to try and see information about it, it asks for me to enter the PCN no and reg of the ticket, but get nothing, with either my real reg or the mistaken one

Unless of course you enjoy paying exorbitant fines so that your local government can tell everyone how good they are at budgeting and producing a surplus
