Are you seeing white effects, ships or other white anomolies?

I am and it's on live.

I'll try to dig up some screenshots of it.

The start of it is when the warp bubble (the awesome squiggly effect when you're warping) effect goes away and the "Space Dust" that floats around disappears. Then it degrades to a white glow around a jump gate then digresses into POS shields, Dicter Bubbles, Missile explosions, Smart bombs...

Restarting the client fixes it. It's something you can notice start taking effect then over time it gets progressively worse.

From what I can tell it happens more frequently by the number of jumps you make.

Whenever the bug occurs RAM usage by CCP Exefile is around 1600-1700 MB (high graphics no AA Resource cache enabled HDR enabled load station enviroment, all effects on except camera shake and drone models)

I haven't used GPU-Z yet though.

Heres screenshots with GPU-Z:

Once during the burn Jita event and once at a later time I have had the client reach 2GB memory, at which stage the graphics is going completely down the drain. The first noticable issue is the gate jump effects, the jump bubbles never collapses so the gates will be covered in "marbles" after a while. When this happened the GPU memory load was still normal.

I also saw grid wide white explosion effects. Docking didn't do much good to clear things with a session change either...

Please check my bug report: 131897 again (even though its been attached to a defect) as I've had this issue before from about : 2012.04.02

I don't know if my issue is related, though it seems similiar; and it did not occur a couple of months ago before I un-subbed.

I would describe this the ship drawing as a pale beige, highly reflective glass material

(1) 3-4 hours

(2) high, AA off

(3) Nvidia GTX470 (Brand:EVGA), two monitors

(4) 1280 MB

(5) 1111 MB

I've had this before, its a cache issue I believe as a quick Cache clear fixes it :)

Thanks for the evidence that proves that it's not depleted VRAM, this is good information. Are you all using resource caching?

Has started happening to me again on TQ. Normally caused after multiple hours of being online combined with gate jumping. Yesterday had it come up on multiple gates in Sinq/Genesis and some stations in Heimatar. If I see it again I shall get program. It's more common when I'm dualboxing and I wouldn't be surprised if it also is caused by low page/virtual memory.

It only hapens to the first (any) planet I open and if I open another planet the problem is fixed until I log and relog.
This happens only from time to time and not everytime I log.

I have the latest drivers for a ATI Radeon HD 5800
Intel Core Quad Q9550 2.83 Ghz
8GB memory
windows 7 64

Some tips from a fellow programmer: when I open the planet it takes 2 seconds and the grafics stalls, I checked it wasn't the CPU but the disk. It seams to be the bottleneck and the problem cause for this for some reason I think the texture wasn't loaded because the disk didn't delivery it on time, maybe a time out somewhere... hope it helps.

I also have a feeling that something like this is happening.

‘No, this isn't it at all. Make it more... psssshhhh’.

I've gotten this as well on occasion. But only after the client has been running for while. However, I could swear it seems like it starts after I've been alt tabbing out of the client a few times after playing for 3-4 hours.

I have resource caching enabled.

After Inferno I noticed something similar after running the client for a while: Ships appearing white and textureless for a few moments after a jump. Then the textures would load slowly one at a time. It didn't affect anything except ships though.

typical this error occurs after 4-5hours
all grafik high; only resource cache disabled
GTX 570
1280MB MemorySize
820MB used

i tried also all graphic low, error also shown up after hours of playing

some points
- white ship with gatecloak
- bubble around jumped ship
- no warp effect
- tactical view white horizontal axis
- long bubble viewed in all "looked down"
- defect icons from ships targeted and hangar (like background color in lowresolution)
- and my favorite rainbow char after editing graphicsettings with this error

1) Time from starting eve to the issue occurring
  • It varies. I've seen it happen anywhere from 2-3 hours after the client is started to upwards of 12-15 hours (I often leave the client on while I'm at work).

  • 2) Are your graphics settings low middle or high?
  • High, w/ AA and the Resource Cache disabled.

  • 3) Graphics card
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240, 1024MB

  • 4) Memory Size from GPU-z
  • Seems to occur starting between 700 and 950MB.

  • 5) Memory Used at the time of the issue occurring
  • Task manager usually puts the client at between 1.7 and 1.9 GB.

  • I don't think this issue is necessarily tied to the amount of time the client is open.

What seems to trigger it is the number of systems loaded - if I log in, and start moving around right away, the issue can happen within a couple hours. If I log in Monday morning, then go to work and come back, it won't happen until I've been flying around for a few hours. At a guess, it starts happening somewhere between 30 and 50 jumps after login, but as the client doesn't visibly keep track of that information I can't give you a specific number.

Same symptoms as above poster, plus some issues with the map; stars in the starmap lose color (or appear with washed out and incorrect colors) and the solar system map's background loses its blue tint and is replaced with white/grey.

I would probably echo that it is likely an issue with loading resources.
What I've noticed is if I'm doing the same thing over and over... for example running Complexes in Black Rise, then it takes a long time for the bugs to appear.

If on the other hand I'm sat in my High-Sec HQ system doing mission after mission it can appear within a matter of hours.
In-fact just going to Jita once or twice and trigger it very quickly.

I know full well that it has very little to do with any memory issues, as my Graphics card has 2GB local, 2GB Shared.
With 8GB in total for the System which barely registers above 20% while playing EVE.

happens to me too. Explosions are a white glow that gets really big then vanishes.
My ship is just a glaring whitish outline of it's self.
    etc, etc..

    1) Time from starting eve to the issue occurring
Ranges from a few hours to many hours, Never instant or within only a couple hours so far.

    2) Are your graphics settings low middle or high?
    Max Settings

    win7 x64

    3) Graphics card
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2gb

    4) Memory Size from GPU-z
Seems to occur starting around 1 gig

    5) Memory Used at the time of the issue occurring
    About 1.6 gig
