Hello gentlemen,

I come to you today with a unique proposition. Most recently, a new pseudobloc called "OTEC" has cropped up: Goons, TEST, Pandemic Legion, and Northern Coalition..
OTEC's principle members are not necessarily allies. We band together solely to protect moons containing technetium from being taken by outsiders. (C'est-à-dire, we work only to maintain our collective monopoly.)
However, due to increased anti-OTEC activity in both the North and South, our market hubs are running dry (both 6V and VFK are seeing fourfold increased traffic). At the moment, the majority of TEST's and Goon's capital is tied up in other affairs, and this brings me to the central topic of this post.

In order to facilitate the importation of both hulls and low-end minerals, I am hereby offering to the public the following bond:

  • Four billion isk bond, to be partitioned into fourty divisions of 100 million isk.
  • Each week bondees will receive 25% of their principle back and 3% interest on amount originally invested

As per above, this isk will be used to move low-end minerals, hulls, and modules to major OTEC market hubs, which will provide a satisfactory profit.

This is really bad. You need to skill yourself.

Also I'm pretty sure TEST has less tech moons than 3rd rate pets of pets like sma and gents wolololololol

Isn't collective monopoly spelled "oligopoly"?

The choice to use "collective monopoly" as opposed to "oligopoly" is based on the fact that oftentimes oligopolists compete against each other, whereas OTEC members collude, and the organization works much like a single monopolistic firm. With OTEC, the best word might be "cartel."

Just because a Goon can come along with a poorly presented offer and have some muppet throw isk at them doesn't mean that the same courteseys extend to lolTEST.

Now, if you'd come to me first to discuss non-contractual payments covering such things as out of pocket expenses, introduction fees and entertainment bills then things might have worked out for you.

Ironically, the only goon run offers in MD history (all two of them) have actually been models of well run, collatoralized and secured offers, as I recall.

I was actually referring to Ariana's recent offering and I might as well identify myself as the muppet. I know, I know, he's not *really* a Goon.

But yes, Goons do actually have a good history with the offers that they run although I believe that Kalrand didn't collateralise his last one at least.

Hmm, I wonder what I could get away with. I could collatoralize it with my nocx holdings!

Except, managing money when I'm obligated to be paying out to other people is :effort:

After reading this thread I have absolutely no idea what the connection between importing low-ends and ships into VFK/6VDT and OTEC is supposed to be.

But I am interested what those "anti-OTEC activities in [...] the South" are.
(serious question. are they hitting aridia moons?)

Also gratz for using the PL bropact to get access to "OTEC hubs" like 1DH/KFIE.
