A thought on giving black ops a role...

Good afternoon ladies and gents,

Was thinking about the plight of black ops and their uselessness on grid. I had an idea pop into my head, what if a black ops could fit multiple bomb launchers.
Obviously they could tweak the bonuses to be balanced, but to me that seems like a cool concept and fits with the theme of the covert ship line.

It amazes me how many people dont know how to use Black ops.

Either get a bunch together and RR,

or do what I do, solo in them and use their bonuses like they are supposed to be used. Widow atm is my favorite solo boat, even more so than the Nightmare.

Sin is freaking awesome small gang / solo

Panther is a fun uboat gank ship

and Redeemer in groups pump out a lot of dps.


But please buff them by all means 8)

I kind of like this idea, yes I think blops are under utilized and yes I have flown them before you ask. They just aren't as powerful as a lot of ppl would like them to be, 1v1 battleship on battleship there really gonna loose most of the time. The main advantage I see with them is hot dropping a squad of bombers so they can reek havac.

stop complaining about bops, use their bonus and stop comparing them to their tier1 version ffs.

like it is already said 1 million times on these forums, if they need a buff then let it be jump range. Or cov ops cloak :P

Buffing these needs to be done very carefully, actual BO tactics already show those are far too good at what they do witch is come out of shadows pin, kill fast and move on faster someone can ever get there.

As you said some are better for solo stuff than others but buffing these no matter how would probably make Eve Black Ops on line. Most people loosing those don't have a clue how to use them, those who know can tell you how good black ops are already and are not in need of buffs other than higher fuel bay or consumption reduction only.

Just buff resists and allow use of MWD cloaked :D

Also Cheaper! make them closer to other similar BS's (marauders for eg)

Risk vs reward, everyone knowing how to use those will tell you BO's it's all about reward, risk are very low to 0
