Hey, posted a thread about me looking for a corp. Got contacted by "nonsciolist", a Goonrecruiter. He told me to deposit 500mil for two characters I wanted in which totals 1b. He also told me that my ships would be transported to their station so I contracted my Hulk and my Charon to him. Later he told me to meet him in highsec and go to their space, on the way there I get both my character PODs blown up by other Goons and nonsciolist has no worthy explanation, implants ******.

By this time I still hadn't been brought in to the corp so I closed EVE and waited a day.
Still no answer, I tried mailing nonsciolist two times but he wouldn't answer. When I log in after another day I received a notification saying that my application was rejected, that is weird because my application on their website said accepted and I had deposited ISK.

Again I tried contacting nonsciolist without success, I managed to get hold of another recruiter and he promised to check what went wrong with my application. Yes you guessed right, he did not reply.

Late last night I contacted someone else in GoonWaffe, not sure what position he had but he told me that I was misquoted in my application and that I had to pay another 500mil per character. I do not understand why because I was clearly accepted on the website and the recruiter I first came in contact with said nothing about another 1b.

He promised to be online when I logged in today because I was going to pay another 1b and get my application accepted.
Do you think he is answering? Of course not.


So here I am without any ships and no money and with NO way to contact any Goon that can answer me directly.

I just got a threat from Valtaric himself, against me, a poor noob that has been playing for 5 months.

GoonSwarm is a big alliance, they have hundrets of applicants, mistakes happen.

You can safely pay the other bisk, since it's only a security deposit which you will get back after trial period.

no worries, they're legit.

I'm sure someone will notice the mistake in time and fix it for you.

There must be some mistake, its utterly and completely against policy for this sort of thing to be allowed to happen.

I can help you, but unfortunately the security directors require a non-refundable deposit to investigate issues with recruitment (usually due to spies attempting to get in). They tend to run around 500m. The good news though is that if the investigation comes through clear you get the money back plus usually about 10% interest.

Most of the "I got scammed by goons" are posted by goonies themselves....... I guess when you have "won" EVE like they have, its all thats left to do..

I believe you are not allowed to scam someone via a conversation in the recruitment channel or through posts in the recruitment forums.

However, outside of those two you're free to scam.

OMG I laughed so hard.

So to resume, you gave them 1b cash for both char, a 1.3bil charon(roughly) and a 300mil hulk(without fitting). So already scammed for about 2.6bilions supposing that your Hulk was not fitted. Then they podkill you...

You contact them and they ask a second billion from you and YOU WERE GOING TO GIVE THEM AFTER THEY KILLED YOU???? Sorry but every of their action make it obvious that you were scammed. In the process did you heard a little voice in your head "this is a scam... dont do it..."?

ok so that's the first point, now the second: wtf you wanted to do with your charon in low sec?

3rd point: You still dont seems to understand what happened.

4th point: why do you post this on the forums? Is it a troll?


I hope that at least you learned something...
