Why don't people just let the noobs do what the noobs want to do? You go play your game the way you want to and stop trying to dictate what everyone else should be doing. I'm pretty damn sure that everyone in this thread has made use of implants or jump clones or boosters in some form, so not a one of you has the right to stop others from doing so.

This.
And if were more honest corps (without scamming and robing you in first place) I think there will be more players in LS and NS. Also, many corps require player to have 2-3 mil. or up SP to join them. How long this will take without implants?

And there is ISK problem - you must have ship and equipment to do anything in space - are you willing to finance young players who join your corp? I don't think so.

I know this is a little difficult for some of you, but here goes...

Not everyone who signs up to eve wants PVP or even knows this game is about PVP when they sign up.

I know, crazy unbelievable stuff !!!

1) If someone wants to pvp they will find a way no matter what.

2) If someone doesn't want to PVP, they won't. Trying to force or coerce them into it won't make any difference except for possibly creating one less paid account for CCP to have to deal with. Yay for the game right?

Drunken post.

Yay :D

And a good learning tool, but you missed the explanation completely...

I do X action -> You do Y acton -> I learn to solve it by staying in highsec -> You get bored because you got nothing to shoot at.

We both are the problem, but the best solution is to just change yourself and myself

You don't need to pod someone, I don't need to fit expensive implants.
You shoot a pod, I don't bother to go to lowsec because I am still fitting implants.

See...cause and effect. We both don't change, nothing evolves.

I'm certainly not going to change, I fight in wormholes and lowsec with my head full of implants, I have only one empty slot. I will also try to pod everyone if there are no ships left on grid- but fail in this 9 times out of 10.

Why fails? Because pods are notoriously hard to catch, they have extremely low signature radius resulting in long target lock time, and they practically instawarp. So when you realize the your ship is going down, you align to something (a celestial or safespot, don't try to use gates or dock when you have aggression timer still rolling) and when your ship pops, spam the warp button and you normally get out.

There are no bubbles in lowsec, and unless your opponents have something small and sensor boosted in tackle range, they won't catch you.

Furthermore, don't fly or wear anything you can't afford to lose. If you don't have the ISK to replace +4s, wear +3s. The actual difference between these is insignificant, planning ahead and correct use of remaps has a much greater effect on your training times.

Anyway I still consider ~because implants~ just another excuse for risk adverse people, and you will surely come up with something else non-factual to justify the irrational fear of low security space.

I wouldnt tend to agree with this, I mean you can PvP in lowsec and unless you are a total idiot or get smartbombed your not gonna get podded. For nullsec theres Jump Clones.

I use rather expensive implants for PVE, around 2.4 bil worth. When Im pvping in lowsec I just use them anyway cause I get podded VERY rarely in lowsec. If our roam is going to take us into null I switch to a jump clone that has no implants in it.

This system allows me to PVP without worrying too much, the loss of my ship is enough without the implants too. With the corps that allow joining just for jump clones, and corps having rorquals with clone vats, I dont see any issue with the current system.

If someone is too scared to pvp due to implants then they need to learn about getting their pod out upon ship loss, and about jump clones.

I agree, it makes things really difficult. I was just hauling things around hi-sec. This Corp was paid 2 mil to go to war with us. Lost 80 mil in implants. It's not worth it, I've only got 100 mil and am trying to get off the ground to making money cause I don't have the skills for Tech 2 ships yet and only been playing for 2 months. I certainly wasn't looking for a fight and neither was my Corp.

Now I'm just not going to bother with implants at all, even if it takes longer to get skills up. Insurance is ridiculous. Who can build a new ship at those prices? Forget about modules and if you get podded like me say goodbye to implants. I just bought those 2 days ago too.

Now I'm training up an alt to handle limiting hauling and trading so I can atleast function at a greatly reduced capacity till this war is over, but I'm sure there will be others.

It hurts, big guys can afford it, the starter guys will struggle with it. I'll recover eventually and it is just a game. But I do see how people would totally quit Eve over something like that, maybe not the high rollers but certainly the new people.

Maybe I was just foolish in spending 20 mil an implant when my economy isn't really going yet. Live and learn.

we all had the same argument about learning skills, we all told noobs to stop whining and that they are great and stuff. Now they are gone and I doubt anyone miss them, I love implants but perhaps it is time to remove ALL form of attribute boosting in the game. I both love and hate the skill system in eve, but if we are going with the main idea behind it, then why then have ways to increase the speed? just like... remove attribute points implants and then give all new players a boost to training time from this day forward until they reach a certain gap or something and we can get rid of this.

The OP however got it backwards, if attribute implants would be gone I can promise you same people would spend that ISK on snakes and hardwirings and they would be just as scared of losing those, but at least the skill training part of the equation would be removed.
