itemID in AssetList - globally unique?

Hello all,

I was just wondering it itemID in the AssetList api is unique. On EVEDev it says that it is subject to renumbering and is only guaranteed to be unique with the page load. however, it also says that the value for this field was changed from it to bigint, which would get rid of the need to renumber.

I have been monitoring POSs using these id's and they seem to be stable. Is it safe to assume these will remain unique?

From what's come up in conversations with Devs on IRC

They're not going to say they won't reset it at some point.
But they're not really planning to do so.



So you can assume it, but there's a small potential that it might change.
