a contructive discussion about the metrics of clones and if they should be player made?

So a factor that deminishes the want to fight once you achieve high sp is the loss of a clone...

if you are not a hard core gammer this can be enough to cause you to stop pvping... as clones can cost upwards of 20+million when you die...

does not sound like a lot but for a casual gamer having to fork out lots of dough can resrict your want to pvp...

Would the game benifit from introducing an industry mechanic where i the pod pilot can use PI to harvest the materials to build clones and in as much greatly reduce the cost to die and ipso facto increase high sp pvp?

hopefully this is contructive enough to the montra of the sandbox and will not be dismissed as easly as others in the past have been... here looking at you ghoulBlink

If your clone costs 20 million and you can't make that in an hour or two you need some serious help.

I for one think this issue warrants discussion, clones are too expensive at higher levels and probably prevent people from taking a more active hand in EVE.

I can see the logic that if you have a 100m sp toon you can probably afford the 20m, but not everyone plays the isk game in eve, and purely pvp groups have precious little resources to fritter away if they actually spend the bulk of their time pvping and not doing PI or other NON-PVP things.

sure you can make 20m in an hour or two, but wouldn't you rather play EVE the way you want to for that hour or two?

I for one don't pay to have a second job, I play to shoot things and extract tears

If you are concerned about clone costs, what kind of implants do you run with? Lose a 5% HW clone then ***** about lolclone prices. Silly.
