BS taken down by a navy frigate?

Then in Helluene there was an abbadon sitting off the gate. Our stabber said... guys, I'm going to try to get him to agress, he did, and the rookie ship swarm arrived. We killed off his drones, and had him quadruple webbed and triple scrammed. It took us about 10 minutes to kill him, all the while he's begging in local for ransom, but we were loving the idea of an abbadon kill with rookie ships.

I've heard of little ships taking out bigger ones, but this, this seems really odd. A fully fitted Abbadon taken out by a navy frigate? Shocked


He clearly died because he didn't have a hybrid weapon on it. Dropping one of the projectiles for either a railgun or blaster would've saved him.

Methods that come to mind:

#1 (most likely) The Abbadon fit can tank 198 DPS against blaster ammo. Navy Comet can do 284DPS. 13 minutes later Abaddon explodes.

#2 (likely) Battleship pilot realized he could not kill the frigate and decided to log off. Three Month's ago, this might have been a valid tactic as it gave 15 minutes for the little guy to kill the battleship and after 15 minutes the battleship would vanish from space.

Currently you stay in space until down time if aggresed. So, Mr. Battleship logs off, is not cap stable, repair systems shut down, and frigate pecks him to death.

#3 (less likely but I've done it) Battleship gets tackled by Frigate. Frigate ship swaps to big scary ship, takes battleship to low structure. Pilot ship swaps back to frigate to finish him off, resulting in a kill mail that is as observed. Difficulty involves swapping and re-pointing. (easy if pilot is logged off)
