Carrying over from this thread to the new in-game events channel, I will be hosting a sub warp race event in July. Footage of which will be included in the EVTV alliance tournament broadcast later that month to show case the concept of ship racing as a viable form of EVE entertainment. This heralds the return of racing to New Eden which used to be a long running and popular event in years past.

I will soon start talks to create opportunities for betting with trusted third parties. And creating an extensive range of prizes for pilots of all skill levels for the event itself.

Please follow this thread for more details! Feel free to message me if you would like to help or compete.

Thanks!

Please join the "New Eden Racing" channel and mailing list for more info.

CoolI endorse this event.
TwistedMostly because I'll be competing for 1st place.
But don't be intimidated, I'm quite rusty. I haven't piloted ANY ship in months.

Nevertheless, I challenge anyone to race against me on the track!P

Peace,

-Ché Biko
Captain of racing team 10-segrity

P.S. Sub-warp racing is so much fun that it is the reason I will be returning in my pod for the first time in months.

Subwarp racing, best racing.

This going to be fun ! I remember ZOMG "flight show" we organized two years back; was it the season finale ? That was the best entertainment I've had by an event in EVE.

Hi,

I have worked as track marshall for at least half a dozen of the SRV races. Che Biko sent the link to this thread through the SRV mailing list. (Thanks mate).

If I can help to get the racing venture back, I will gladly do so.

Jill.

Yeah, thanks for mentioning. I'm in touch with Jill. Did the track yesterday, too. I'm down to 1 minute 24 seconds in my Taranis. And I am still optimizing my fitting.

Now off to the Tekaima track and check out the new "gate" design.

I have to add, though, that under the question "What activities are you interested in?" I could not choose multiple options. If I would have been able to do so, I would have checked "assisting" and "spectating" as well, although my priority lies with the racing itself.

Yes, but giving people only 1 option at a time is better in terms of categorizing you by what you like the most and at the same time keeps the statistics neat and clean.

It's not very helpful, when 100% of the surveyed people click "spectate" + something else Blink

Jill.

P.S. Thanks for the feedback

Yeah, but in that respect, using the plural of activity is kinda misleading. "Activities" reads as though you should be able to choose multiple options. If that had not been the case, I would not have said anything.

P.S. Your welcome.

did you guys know about 'that other' new eden racing organisation ( https://gate.eveonline.com/Corporation/New%20Eden%20Racing%20Organisation srys it's in moon-language and out of date)?
We are already halfway through our season - race 6/10 was yesterday and we were a bit low on pilots to be honest..

rules:
t1 frigs, meta0 modules
put a bookmark in every container in order
????
profit!

GMT+1 timezone
100m (+X)split per race for 1st- 3rd
and probably more(1bil) at the end of the season

sponsored by the Otaared Trading Company
(i dont mean to hijack this thread, so it's more of a fyi)

and cool that you host races too :D *signed up*

No worries, it's a good thing for people to have more then one type of event to choose from. Would be fun to have a overlooking organization like the FIA in motorsports Big smileBig smileBig smile

I believe there are 2 more capsuleers working on their own version of racing.

Death Race
Racing League

Maybe we should indeed have an over-arching organization Blink
