BSOD Bad Pool Header crashes with recent client update

And so it arises again: The BSOD due to EVE Audio.

I've run EVE for many years with no blue screens of death, and was running the Inferno patches just fine until today's update. Disabling Audio via the escape menu seems to have made EVE (and my PC) stable again.

1) Is re-installing the EVE client the only long term fix to get back sound?

2) I don't want to have to keep playing EVE without sound. My VIA audio drivers are up to date, and I have never had this problem before, or with any of my other games / proggies installed atm.
