I think he's referring to the fact that EVGA is an acronym for Extended Video Graphics Array standard. (1024x768, non-interlaced, max. 70Hz refresh rate.)

eVGA means something totally different of course with the 'e' stemming from the e-commerce trend back when they established themselves in the business.
