Sell orders deviation - can't get it to work

I'm rather new to the markets and trying to get my head around the various options.

One bit which is really confusing me is sell orders deviation.

It says just to set a lower and upper percentage bound and everything will be dandy. However, I've put in -10 to 50 and it's returning orders thousands of percent over average. What gives?

I saw a bug report somewhere that indicated the deviations were in absolute ISK and not percentages. Dunno if that report is accurate, nor which scheme for the deviation values is the "correct" one.

If the deviation values were absolute ISK, would that make the returned orders make sense?

Not at all. This is on items with values up in the millions, so to have a 50ISK deviation be thousands of % above average really doesn't fit.
