I've not logged on to eve for some time because basically the game became rubbish, listening to whiners on TS or vent people always complaining about game machanics, fourms just a waste of time no longer the place to get intelligant information.

So has anything changed? From what I've read no! So farwell Eve maybe I shall pop in again in 6 months to see if you exist or have improved.

and no one can have my stuff!

TBH sounds like you're hanging out with the wrong crowd.

That, or you are just generally not a very likable person.

Who knows.

And keep your stuff, I don't needz it anyway!

- I think my passion is misinterpreted as anger sometimes. And I don't think people are ready for the message that I'm delivering, and delivering with a sense of violent love.

congrats for whining in a thread about... whiners?

get off your ass and get back in and find something you enjoy, or don't get back in and don't waste our time by your own indecision.

I agree!

6 years playing the game I watched it get worse, people leave and give up because, the game they have loved and cared about has become to be honest a massive time sink.

My subscriptions are in their final days and I spoke to another friend who has given up on eve, we realised that we are only logging in to change skills. Wake up people the game has become flawed and no one know how to fix it!

I just came back and EVE is still broken in many ways. Not sure CCP has a clue how to fix their game. Jump bridges, blobs, exploitable mechanics all over the place. ::sigh:: Sad.

You know I was hoping people would come with good reasons for me to get back into the game, but as I suspected there are none and all you guys can do is troll.

What I always enjoyed was the diversity in the gaming experience. Talk to several random EVE players, and it sounds as if they are each describing a different game. EVE is what you make it. However, if you wait for others to make EVE interesting, you might be waiting a long time.

It depends on what you want to do and how much you enjoyed it prior to leaving. If you didn't enjoy it before then you probably still won't.

In general EVE has changed.
It has become even worse than 2 years ago.

Forums are more troll central.
Distrust is even more imbedded in the game.
Being a total dickhead is the only way to go to get ahead.
More nerfs incomming to "balance" things
No fixes of the real issues.

All in all just another day in EVE.

Eve online is a sandbox game. Much of what makes Eve so interesting happens to be player driven. Burn Jita, Hulkageddon, lotteries, corp thefts, etc. are what makes the games unique. If you expect CCP to provide the content, you will be disappointed. You want it to be fun? Make it fun.

I was thinking about the mmo scenario and came to realize that EVE is probably the only game around I will never stop playing.

So yeah, allways worth comming back.

If things sems stale or boring, go do other stuff with other people.

Well, Eve is a game where you pretend to work for things that somebody else pretends has value. Or, you pay real money so you don't have to pretend to work to acquire the things that have pretend value.

Once you realize that you are pretending to have fun you will likely develop destructive attitudes that will cause you to lash out and harm anyone that you percieve as helpless, defenseless or at least significantly weaker than you.

So yeah, I guess if that does not sound appealing to you then maybe you shouldn't play EVE.

No, not really unless you have specific intentions to play other games instead of EVE and only train skills / log on to change skills only if you have time left on your account or enough ISK for PLEX than no EVE is not worth it.

Let's look at things for a bit. You click space, you target red crosses like it's 1980 and you're playing one of the world's first video games (or just boxes) you are presented with a fictional economy which is not only over run by bots but completely meaningless and boring as it's fake money you can't do anything with, unless you mean clicking things in space from a different looking "ship" model. Then you have the community which like most of the internet just repeats the same thing over and over and over and rarely has an original thought or anything funny to say. Then you have the company and the devs who have no vision, who's only enduring legacy is scandal and corruption, who fail around every turn and are dreaming of making a vampire game.
