As much as I love the pilgrim, I can't honestly recommend it as a "profitable pvp ship".

It's expensive, slow, has anemic DPS and there are many many ways in which you can screw up and just lose it with no chance to survive.

I would disagree, but making money in a PvP pilgrim requires patience and skill. If you scan down mission/plex runners in low/null sec and get the jump on them you may make a bit from the ransom and/or drop. This is because most PvE ships have low dps and utilize active hardeners and reppers/boosters for tank.

I would recommend an arty wolf. Those things can take most AF's no problem, are annoying as hell to kill, and will be able to run in 99% of situations.

Thanks for telling me how a ship I fly often works m8.

It's still too slow, too vulnerable and too expensive to count as "most profitable" even if you use it to snag noctis in WHs like I do.

Artillery hurricanes are good choices, as are 3-rep myrms, dual prop/dual rep SFI, and most of the T3 BCs.

AFs and certain interceptors (Ranis) are also great, though AFs have reeeally crept up in price.

When in doubt, fly a Rifter. If you win, yay. If you lose it... who cares!
