Allrite my apologies I completley read that post wrong I do actually see your point now, but to be fair its highly unlikely a huge 0.0 alliance like Goonswarm or whatever is going to wardec your small 12 man corp when they have got a huge area of space to fight and pve in. Unless you have caused them some serious pain and inconveniance, and if that is the case they would have a reason to wardec you anyways. And you took that risk by doing whatever you did to them first, and remember there is always the hire a merc option if they do thats also coming with Inferno

example should be -5 or standing to correctly work

goonswarm and larger alliances do have alot of ganking alts in empire space

if they warred i could shoot back and there would be no problem but they wont they will just gank and that's the problem because the cost to war them for ganking is too high.

do i belive i would make a dent in them no but with 71m skill points i bet i can make them move on to easyier targets in empire.
but if i cant shoot them till i pay 42 billion isk thats idiocy

agian i have no problem with goonswarm nor have they ever wronged me in anyway

however this mechanic is borked beyond imagination and there size showcases it the best

Doesnt that just go back to not being afk and actually being active whilst mining? I mean if im going to run a plex in low or null im not just gonna drop sentry drones in my domi set them to agressive and go afk for 20 mins. im going to be constantly aware of whats on my scanner and my overview and gtfo if things look like there going to take a turn for the worse.

I know its almost impossible to not do mining afk in high sec because its so boring but it deosnt give you the right just because your in high sec to go afk and not worry about your ship and earn loads of isk. If you really do want to go afk then its prob best to get a bs because no one is gonna sucide gank that unless there incredibly stupid. sure its gonna turn less profit but you literally have 0 chance of being suicide ganked and therefore save you isk in the long run. Or you could mine in your mining barge and turn more profit but be active and smart aswell

Tbh CCP need to come up with a totally new way of mining to make it more fun anyways like some sort of automated crews that you train for or something but im pretty sure thats a longg way off

You do realize it costs you nothing extra to shoot goons? They live in null sec. You don't need to dec them, just fly to null sec and shoot them. No CONCORD. No security status penalty. Just shoot.

How does costing an insane amount of ISK to wardec us matter in the least given that wardecs have no effect on us what so ever?

But this is a Goonswarm thread. CCP could make it so that our ships are blown up the instant we undock and men show up at our homes to punch us in the junk every time we log in and the bleating masses of the Eve-Online forums would still think that is too lenient. Its part of the social consciousness of Eve-Online to bag on Goons harder than any other group of players. About the only folks who have had it harder is the ancient incarnation of Red Alliance way back when.
