quick make a forum post don't bother using search or even checking the first page

write a couple of lines to make it look like i put effort into my posting

put a goon-ccp-iracy bit in there that should get me some spaselieks

I feel like this is a move away from the current system where it is just a way to pvp in high back to more of a " You offended me prepare to die" move

Why are people so upset about this? CCP has already said it's the unchanged old formula, since they hadn't finished implementing the new system yet. Granted the new one might be crap too, but at least let them put it on the test server before raging about it.

I concur, who cares about the highsec part of it really, I mean aside from what ever will Moar tears do? The real advantage will more be for it any of the tiny highsec corps start banding up to make the continual war declarations hopefully less feasable. yeah it is mechanic and all, but if those highsec peeps build my ships and get money to ccp, I can tolerate more in their favour.

Nah. There's no need to test it to know it's awful. It's just a formula — it is a theorycrafting product and can be criticised through theorycrafting.

As always, it's better to rage before they do something stupid in the hopes that they'll realise the stupidity before they waste too much time on it.

They don't need a wardec to fight Goons, all they have to do is fly into Goon held space and they can fight them all they want - no wardec needed.

They need a wardec to catch freighters undocking in Jita 4-4. Not sure why they care so much, since I assume everyone uses NPC corp alts for that.

You think they were looking for fights? Well they'll have a spiel for you about how they don't blob, they solo fight with their 5 RemoteRep alts....

Well, Boat's primary skill is called Summon Fleet. He has it to rank 5 as well Shocked

It costs me 54billion isk a month to run my alliance's infrastructure and logistics.

As it stands, an empire griefer alliance can shut that down for pocket change. A few dudes looking to kill unguarded ships who don't fire back isn't what war declarations intention was when they were introduced.

The people who are upset are the ones who declare war against entities to grief their pilots, not actually fight them in empire.


This fix to a broken mechanic is long over due.
