Raven missile launcher placement feedback

I'm finding the Raven missile launchers to be placed in a pretty odd spot on the ship. Right now they'e fixed to the ends of the large two wings, which is also where the extra engines are placed.

Not only are they sticking out from the model, but the placement itself just doesn't make sense as it looks like they're embedded into the engines. There's plenty of other good spots to place them on the Raven.

They need to be in a practical location for gun turrets as well for NPCs or players. but mainly NPCs.
The ends of the wings give a large arc of cover.
I wouldn't be against central body locations if it can work though.
But I see no problem with missiles on the wings as they are only smaller maneuvering thruster engines anyway.

A bunch of Caldari ships need to be tweaked IMO.

The drake, for one, needs to have the asthetic launchers replaced with missile points rather than just putting the hard points right on top of them.

I agree, current placement is neither logical nor appealing to the eye.

Elements of the past and the future combining to make something not quite as good as either.

Personally, for the battleship class I feel the best missile positioning is on the typhoon. that is the way they should feel. The 5 launchers when put into the final 5 fitting slots are all central mass located, look pretty good when firing off too. Most of the caldari ships really need the fixing though, ironically it is more the non missile ships that they work on the best, but I guess they were designed for turrets.

Also, want lols, fit the upsized missiles to ships.

If you were to take a look at the stealth bombers you'd notice they have different hardpoints for missile/torpedo silos and gun turrets, so there's both a precedent and an ingame mechanic doing just that.

Did you also have a look at the Scorpions hardpoints?

The slots on the ship don't seem to actually be fixed/directed to specific hardpoints on the ship.

I was really looking to 4 cruise missile launchers on the tail of the scorp, yet whatever I do, I can't seem to get more than 2 up on there. They just seem to fill as long as I put more on rather than having them linked to a slot.

Turrets are different though, they end up on the wings, bottom and tail.. I really hope the ships are currently a Work In Progress to get the launcher positions sorted, because this just seems a bit half finished..

current placements are just not logical.

Sure.

I like the missile placement on the Scorpion a lot, it makes sense and looks good. Also on the Scorpion the launchers are all placed on the front of the ship, so if there's an enemy behind you the missiles shoot out from the front and arc around to hit the target.
Also the missile launchers on the Scorp will always be placed in the same spots, no matter where you put the launchers in the fitting window.

Right now the Raven looks like its launcher placement is the same as its guns, where the "wings" makes sense due to wide unobstructed firing arcs. I think the Raven should definitely be a lot more like the Scorpion, have its launchers near the centre mass of the ship separate from gun hardpoints.

Thanks for the pics.

I would have thought they'd put them right on top of the textured-on torpedo tubes, instead they put them above and below. Oh well. At least it isn't terribad. :P

I would've put them on top of and below the wings. As far away as possible from the center of mass, the fuel stores, the crew...

For the raven(or more ships) more towards the center of the ship would make more sense.

Not to mention drakes.

I think the drake looks good, but the should remove the what it looks like missile launchers on missile launchers. and one more missile launcher to fit that last one on the back of the drake.

I have a feeling the drake is at least going to need to be retextured with its nerf?
