Hello dear players,

I took a look at the ''rewards'', and I must admit they are... Rather funny. I mean I have been playing for 5 years, and many have been playing for more and all we get is lousy +2 implants or new player skillbooks. Would there be a way to thank in a better way players who have been putting hundreds of dollars into the game for years? Personally I have 3 accounts and using money to subscribe them all, all I can get is 2 cruisers or some basic industrial skills. Is there a button saying ''I'll pass'' anywhere?

Might be me, but lately its as if new players got all the attention and old players are forgotten and put aside.

Use the +2's in your combat clone (I fly in +3's because I give no *****)

It's not. The more new players the better it is for the game. I realize a lot of people get off on the schadenfreude of how absolutely ridiculously difficult Eve was when they were newbies (BACK IN MY DAY THE TUTORIAL WAS SOME GUY PUNCHING YOU IN THE **** AND STEALING YOUR WALLET). But just because it WAS that way doesn't mean it wasn't stupid.

Lets take learning skills. I had one eve character with virtually none and I thrilled that I would train faster. I had another character with something approaching 4 million. Instant carrier pilot yaaay.

Learning skills were dumb. The old tutorials were dumb. MMO's live and die by new subs, same as alliances and corporations.

Anyone kvetching about Eve helping make this game not a miserable shitheep when you are sub 5 million SP should shut up.

Hell give the +2's to a newbie in your corp. He'll love them. When I ran incursions I'd always pop down and sell off all my LP and bring up big stacks of +3's and hand them out to any newbie that wanted them. Made their day.

I am perfectly aware of the need for new players, it's what keeping EVE alive, ofc.

Spending hundreds into a company for a great product and all I got was 2 cruisers.

Not saying I DESERVE more, but what they offer could be more useful to older players. Like I said, 500 or 1000 fuel blocks, like what they did for xmas, these were nice offers, new and old players both found something that could help.

Hell, even 500 fuel blocks of ONE race would make me happy :p

normally I would troll the op, but I have to say, now that I look, that is a pretty disappointing selection for a 9th anniversary

t1 cruisers fall out of my backside whenever I sneeze, and I have no interest grinding industry.

that leaves the +2s or the Pax Ammaria

Even free... life is too short for +2s so I guess I'll be taking the most useless gift of all, the one that looks good in my inventory and assures a place in eternity for my several billion corpses or at the very least a moderate resale value.

Its not so much that the gifts are bad, they just seem awkward and not very well thought out in terms of celebrating 9 years of eve, even if there's nobody left from launch (who would hopefully have no use for any of that stuff)

hopefully my choice won't get deleted next time someone decides to clear out "old" assets from the DB....

Honestly are you surprised? For profit companies almost ALWAYS reward new customers, often they advertise these rewards in an attempt to gain new customers and there really should be no need to explain it.
