The bhaalgorn is also an excellent support BS.

If you want to take a Widow into a "fleet" battle, you're free to, but you need to be prepared to lose it horribly. The Widow is not a fleet support battleship, but a bigger Rook that can do black ops hotdrops. It's got a poorer tank than a Scorpion, poorer ECM range, same jam strength, poorer targeting range, and costs 7-8x as much.
