Not that they don't look fine otherwise, but it just seems a little odd when the Caldari and Gallente T2 ships are following the system of "T2 developer gets to advertise on hull".

this is not V3'd the ship is the same as before in everyway, it's an npc ship isn't it?

Look at the new hound, that is how the new minmatar ships should look when finished.

Also they look way better in motion, and you can zoom in and read text on them and have your alliance logo on your ship now. Lighting effects like lasers and explosions will be able to reflect off the hull dynamically. These changes are not skin deep.

CCP why does it seem the LOD on the textures is low, i mean visibly low from even this range that the pictures were taken.

Hmm - some are okay - I kinda like the crimson look of some of the Carthum ships (yet I don't get why they went for the Sarum Crest instead of Carthum or Ardishapur instead of Viziam).

As expected, Khanid Ships were hit the hardest and I hate the dull looks of the Curse and the fact that its antennas are gone. The worst thing about it is the fact they replaced the ones in the front with two red position lights - which doesn't fit the cold-blue style the ship had at all - jesus - that ships colour scheme now is about as aesthetic as my makeup.

Yes, noticed this as well. Khanid Innovation ships have the Khanid Kingdom faction logo.

It seems the logos were chosen based on whim rather than any kind of actual rule.

And the fact that this is all still on the test server. It was the same with Gal and Cal ships, missing parts on T2, incorrect colour schemes, wrong logos etc.

Take the Sarum crest for example, it could just be that they're checking the placement of decals and the Carthum crest hasn't been made yet.

... no.

Those ships have been in the api for literally YEARS. CCP just never saw a use for them, and never made them live.

Bhaalgorn looks good. All I really care about on the Amarr front, truth be told. Others are looking a bit... coppery, ain't they? I thought Trit was supposed to be a brilliant yellow gold colour?

Not to be a debbie downer but those look exactly the same as the original versions but a bit darker. No?

Are we talking higher resolution, or is it the same just retextured? Because all that is is changing something instead of upgrading it. Honestly the engine needs to be pushed a little bit harder because we're left with sub-par graphics and poor low-poly ships already. The bump maps are the worst because they are so pixelated it just makes the entire ship texture look awful.

And I can't tell from most of those pics but I hope CCP has finally ditched the symmetry textures.

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

IIRC the V3 project is more about changing the way lighting affects the ship model and the ability to add different type of ship skin/logos for ccp, along with a chance to revamp/align the color schemes of each race's ship as a bonus.

I don't think it was ever about upgrading the texture resolution, but hopefully they'll be working on that soon, if they haven't already.

I am sad if the Erinye will go with the Tristan model instead of the Incursus one from now on.

So much work for so little gain. What has happened to EVE?

Pretty sure those screenshots were taken with low settings. Also, one of the main reasons as to why the V3 project is being done is so that EVE's lighting model can be updated, which will have a huge effect on how the game looks.

Yeah I just checked for some reason the textures are low level mipmaps even though I have max settings set in game, my video card drivers are all setup for highest also. Will have a fiddle later.
