LP for Datacores and optional refunding of SP for RPM

Honestly I'm glad that this (being able to buy datacores with LP) was added as a player that consumes large amounts of datacores as the prices for them will hopefully decrease. However i think it heavily nerfs Research Project Management (i have it trained to V and it took 30+ days). Basically what i came to say is I'd like to have the option of having the 2,048,000 SP refunded for this skill then inferno goes public on TQ. I think that this will become one of the worst skills to have or to train to level V now because of the return it gives. Think about most skills that take 30+ days to train, you get something valuable in the end that has the potential to add more value to your play style, but RPM V will no longer have the value it once did and thus i think many players would appreciate the option of having SP refunded for the skill. I like that CPP is finding new ways to improve the game but they must consider everyone that is effected by their decisions.

again i want to be very clear that i didn't come here to say that this was a bad idea, i personally think LP for datacores is a good idea that will get me involved in FW. BUT if you are going to be helping out the FW players it isn't right to hurt the industry players in the process. Also i'd like to add this doesn't have to be a win-loose situation, it can be win-win for everyone.

(also i posted this here because it seemed to be the most appropriate place, i checked out SiSi this evening and it was awesome)

i dont have research project management 5 but after seeing this i dont think i will ever train that skill again. most nerfs in the game effect ship stats or market prices but this nerf will directly impact one skill (and a very time intensive skill at that).

also why are datacores being rewarded to FW players, like am i missing something, how are they related?

It was always a questionable skill to train to lvl5, because of the long payoff time. Like training Battleships to lvl5 just so you can get 1-3 extra datacores per day. Complaining about long training times is pointless though, since the usefulness of your training choices get nerfed and buffed all the time. The skill still does what it advertices, so refunds are very unlikely. The only thing that has changed is the profit the skill provides, but having it is still beneficial.

The reason they are rewarded for FW players is twofold. First it's a simple boost to FW and lowsec activity by nerfing passive income generation. Second they want to move them to a LP store and want the pricing of datacores to be dynamic. There should be a devblog about it later this month with the actual details. I'm assuming it makes more sense to do that with LP stores than the agent system, since the mechanic can also be applied to other LP store items.
