Seconded.

But a couple of possible bugs.
The trails for citadel cruise missiles visibly zig zag on launch, and there doesn't seem to be any animation on them if the target is at point blank.

Also this is minor to the point of being a non-issue, but I'm kinda miffed that the torpedo launchers have multiple missiles, but only one ever fires

Also, the cruise missiles kinda just go from straight up to straight forward from the launchers unlike torpedoes which when launched do an arch before headind to the target, looks weird.

New stealth bombers are, quite literally, the bomb. I can only fly the Purifier and Nemesis right now, but damn what an improvement. Love the "bloom" effect from a launch on the Nemesis and the "ripple" from the Purifier. The EM and thermal effects are also quite nice.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

Ok looks like Mjolnir Citadel Torps aren't finished yet.

Judging by rockets and citadel torps looks like regular torps might launch three missiles at once too.

Man a stealth bomber is going to look like it exploded everytime it fires off a salvo.

Nice job CCP

Tried the Hawk with 4 launchers, It was like a wall of missiles P
Though it only holds 4 launchers, I believe the gfx shows 8 missiles per round.

Manticore looks just so much better and way more wicked now with the new hull!

And, bye bye old torp impact effect.

Looks great. Only trouble is on some of the vessels the hardpoint locations are odd, like the Raven. It also looks a bit odd on the Manticore because the base for the launcher is flat instead of slanted, which means that if you have a missile reloading it looks like it's materialized from nowhere. >_>

Hey guys, this is my personal feedback and opinions about the new missile effects. It should also be noted that I have only tested heavy missiles and cruise missiles.

Pros

• The missile explosion effects for the various different types of missiles are in my opinion spot on.
• I can’t express how good it is to actually see a real salvo of missiles rather than one bright dot moving.
• I love how the missiles seem to have a semi randomised movement/path, things such as a slight zig-zag at times. It looks like the missiles are making small adjustments to their flight path when in flight. Improvements or refinements on this would be amazing.

Cons

• In some cases I feel the smoke effects following the missiles seem too dark ( I feel the smoke should be a lighter colour).
• It is incredibly hard to see any missiles or missile effects zoomed out except the missile impact/explosion effects.
• The launcher locations on some ships look weird in some cases. Particularly the drake, I wouldn’t say the drake looks bad with the new launchers but it looks ‘odd’. I always assumed the drake’s model included missile launchers, and the new missile launchers appear to be placed on top of the existing model missile launchers. In my opinion I think the drake needs some very slight work on its model to replace the existing model missile launchers with appropriate hardpoints for the new missile launchers.
• Cruise missiles appear to have a somewhat jagged launch animation, compared to torpedo/heavy missile launchers. In my opinion they should launch from the ship straight for a little bit then re direct their path towards their target.

This is what I can think of right now, I will probably have some more to add later.

Ok i've quickly tested that and my first thoughts are :

2 CNR (14x Cruise Fury Fit+425mm rail)

1 - EM is beatiful - Thermal is very nice - Explosion is ok - Kinetic is ok.

2 - nice to see Ravens are now matching exactly with F15C-F16-F18 with AIM-9L/M/P/X air to air missiles
Only on earth, you can actually see the trails from a long distance

3 - Not seeing any missile from long range / Only trails for short range is a major issue.
=> In major fleet battle, unless you only have tengus, it will be hard to see incomings missiles, raw quantities, etc...
=> No more nice conga lines from 1 ship
=> I don't really know why yet, but i'm pretty sure not knowing what's flying from/to me will annoy me very much.

==> 1 solution : add dots (or anything with colors (blue, yellow, white, orange...) again from a long distance Big smile

4 - I'm glad to see CCP improving the FX in Eve. But it's always kill a little more my machine P adapt or die? meeh, Darwinists...

(5 - Mjolnir... Scourge... i liked so much the Paradise cruise (as blue as floston) and Wrath fury. those names were so strongs hehe)

Drakes seventh launcher is assymetrical. Looks very wierd and disturbing. Assuming that the models doesn't even has visual hardpoints was it so difficult to place it in the middle of the hull and not right side?

Ok now that the initial wow factor has worn off, lets see the new missile effects in new light.

I don't know how I missed this.

BUT THE MISSILE DO NOT HAVE MODELS!
It's all trail and no missile.

You can now look at the missile models in the show info panel of the various missiles.
But they don't appear when fired.

Also
Guristas Missile NPCs have only one launcher.
So the battleship is armed only with one single torpedo launcher that fires rapidly.
This needs to change.

There is a fine line between a post and a signature.

This is very true. I noticed that you can view the actual models for the missiles the same way you can view models for ships/turrets, they are there. However I can't say I have actually noticed the missile models when they are in flight aside from when they initially launch.

With turrets, placing the turrets in different slots puts them on different locations on the ship. Mess around a little?

I have yet to try it out as I'm still not activated on sisi, but from what I hear and read there seems to be issues with the ship models that already have launchers on the model and with the added "new" launchers.

Why not take the existing model and tweak it so that the new missiles come out of those launchers? That way, ships like the Drake would finally actually use the launchers you gave them from the beginning. Big smile

Yeah, that's what I'm saying... pull a launcher out of one of slots 1-6 and stick it in slot 8, slot 8 is likely to be symmetrical with slot 7

It's how you can get the Harbinger and Rifter to be symmetrical
