How to stay the safest during Hulkageddon

Yes, you could try watching your overview like a hawk and staying aligned, but it's much easier and safer to just mine in mission pockets, or probe down grav sites.

But still keep a close watch on your overview, just in case. Blink

Like the saying goes; you don't have to run faster than the bear. You just have to run faster than the guy next to you.

Making yourself take an extra module and more effort to find goes a lot further than most miners realize.

Or you could mine in something other than a barge

Why run from the bear when you can shoot it?

Move to low sec for mining ops and bring protection. As sad as it is it will probably be safer than a lot of places in high sec now. Mainly because you won't get lazy and not watch local and it will be less populated.

And there is a decent chunck of people busy trying to gank in high sec, so seeing miners in low sec will be unheard of.

OP's advice is sound as well use mission pockets, etc.

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.

100% way to not be involved in a Gank, or a Burn.... ready? listen to the master...

... turn off your PC, call it in for an RMA to fix the *BLEEPING CENSORED* nVidia issue and other issues... then pack it in a box, take it to the mailing place of choice, post it ground w/ tracking, and then get on your old crap top that will not play EVE, but will get on eve-gate, read the forums, troll them, post stuff, watch videos on "Burn Jita" or "HAG5" and do this for about 2-3 weeks while your system is gone, plan on the install of your OS and all that again, and then sleep alot when you become to bored to deal with like - at the beach if possible and with a pretty gal at your side.

Pay no attention to the other posts, they lie, THIS IS THE WAY TO DEAL WITH GANKING AND BURNING.

My husband schedules our computer upgrades during hulkageddon every year. that way I'm less tempted to risk anything. Of course with the extra lengthened event this year this might back fire... making me want to try out the system as it will be upgrade completed before the end.

  - remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not  "afk" cloaking -

3.6 bil tank that was never turned on

and DROPPED for the suicide ganker.

It was like the tank jumped off the ship and said to the gankers "take me"

Mining is dull in this game, go do something else full time and the problem solves itself, besides no downside for me if even cruisers become crazy expensive so less mining please :-)

Ok, safest way to actually mine during the event, might have been a better title.

I have the best advice for miners.

Don't play.

It gives you RL time and when you come back all those minerals you have have skyrocketed in price!
