If I answer this I'll have to take back all those bad things I've said about CCP.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

Spaceships.

Pretty much it. If they nuked Suicide Ganking, Instanced Missions and Exploration, Replaced the Market and Industry with NPC Sell Orders, Added Arena's, Put Weapons Lock on High Sec to any non valid Target, Made Cloaks Time Out, Made Wars have to be Mutual and Outlawed Scams I would still play.

Because just I like flying the Spaceships and shooting at other Spaceships that shoot at me.

This game has taken me over 5,000 miles round the world twice as well as so many smaller closer meets and such i dont even remember how many.

Its the people that keep me playing but the spaceships help a lot.

Cosmic signature detected. . . . http://i.imgur.com/Z7NfIS6.jpg I got 99 likes, and this post aint one.

1. The people. Everyone in this list is known for something (in no particular order)
Akita T
Tippia
Xenuria
Miila
Chribba
Sir Molle
Mittens
Haargoth
m0o
Zombies
BoB
Goons

2. Player "events", such as H5, or Burn Jita, or MAX, or OTEC or anything else "big" that gets pulled off.
3. I can do what I want, when I want, and don't need to spend 3 weeks killing raptors so I can get a new level and wear even more purple sparkle gear...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I just love the forums, the fact it has a weird client to log in and do stuff in spaceships is a bonus.

Eve isn't meant to be enjoyable, it's to give you an excuse to swear at the computer. If you're having fun when you play, you're doing it wrong.
That's why I love it. Masochism, basically.

My cooking is like my lovemaking - fast, greasy, and unsatisfying.

It is the Eve voice.

I play Eve just to hear her sweet voice everytime I put my ship in warp or do something in the game that makes her talk. If I need to be AFK I just select some random high sec system, put my ship on auto pilot and raise de volume of my speakers just so I can hear her from anywhere in the house. Sometimes she tells me I do something wrong (just like any girlfriend does), and it always make me smile. I really feel she talks directly to me sometimes, and I try to talk back to her. One day, I know she will tell me more.

Yes, what really hooked me to Eve, is her sweet and sexy voice. Blink

What I like about EvE is this. I'm kind of a weasel in real life. Short, Skinny, Stupid looking, balding. You get the picture. But when I get behind the terminal, and log on, I get to be a real world, (al Bet Eve world) Bad ass. This game is priceless.

Like Den in Neverwhere land (from the 1981 Heavy Metal movie). Unfortunately...without the sex part.

The following is an instant of real Eve Content that is priceless:

I’m shopping at a local computer warehouse, to be specific it was a store on the west coast of southern California called, computer geeks. Love the place actually.

As I’m checking out, a discussion of computer gaming ensues. I ask the small skinny person that is checking me out, If they have ever heard of Eve online? The small skinny person lights up, and starts telling me all about how much he loves the game, and how he’s a Pirate, and how they all ganged up on a carrier that bounced off a station in low sec, tried to ransom it, and finally just killed it. He went on & on to tell me how awesome the game was, how nasty his band of pirates were, how ruthless and all, and how they never cut anyone a break, and how dedicated they are to ruin just about everyone’s day.

So, Looking down at this little guy, As I’m personally about 6’4”, and a solid 240Lbs, your, “Bla Bla” aren’t ya. That was my carrier you tried to ransom and killed.

I just gotta tell ya. The look of total, real life terror, in this guys face was truly priceless. To add to it, I had just purchased (2) new 60 LCD television sets. So he had to help me load purchase into the back of my pickup, in a parking lot.

I gotta tell ya, when this guy killed my carrier, man did he have a big mouth, I wish I could find the text and post it. He probably weighed 120lbs soaking wet.

So when, “WE”, were loading my new TV sets, we talked about the game, things that had happened, things we would like to see changed. But the most interesting part of the whole experience, was simply the ambience of the moment, the level of respect from this guy I received, His look of serious uncertainty of the moment.

I could go on, but no reason really. For me this was one of my most precious EvE moments.

Oh yea, if you don’t believe it, blow it out yer A$$. Big smile

I'm just curious about the need for specificity describing the clerk,
when earlier you hemmed and hawed around with "along the West Coast of Southern California" instead of the simpler "somewhere around LA".

Anyway, sounds like love to me. Lol (I kid)
