Halp my launcher does not start

I can't start eve because my launcher doesn't want to start. All i see when i click the eve.exe executable is a small blank command prompt box that blinks on for and instant and then off again.

you could try starting without the launcher buy using the ExeFile.exe in the eve bin folder
since we now get updates after we open eve im not sure if we even need the launcher any more

Have your tried clearing the launcher cache at C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\launcher\cache? (just rename the folder to old_cache)

Thanks for this. After days of frustration, repeated running the repair tool, and worse, days of an empty training queue, this finally resolved the problem for me.

After today patch - nothing helps to launch Launcher. Really - nothing, even Repair tool crashes.

OK. Mission complete. Here is the way to launch it:
Just replace 5 files in EVE/Launcher/ folder with files from this zip:
http://eve-files.com/dl/254158
Files were not modified, no viruses. Just making job instead of CCP has to.

GUYS - LEARN HOW TO MAKE WORKING NORMALLY PATCHERS !!! Diablo3 is closer to your back.

Really something when your fans do your work for you. Thank you Ms. Brown. Twice this has happened in a matter of a week. You'd think you'd learn when 2 events occur within such a short durations. Pigeons in Skinner boxes learn faster than Patch Devs. Rather than give circle jerking reviews of Burn Jita to gaming mags why not sort out your bread and butter issues completely. Was getting to the point of me wondering why Im bothering to play I game I cant even start up twice in a row with no system changes or even a restart between launches on my end.

Thank you! For some reason the launcher wouldn't work on my desktop no matter what I did (reinstalling EVE, clearing cache, etc). Was afraid I was going to be forced to play on my laptop! :3
