Tactical displays wrong distance

The tactical display says something 20km away when its only the overview says its 11.
I know the overview is right because my miner 2s work at the distance.
Mathematically the overview should be more as it includes vertical distance but its less so there clearly something wrong.
Anyone know how it fix this?
