Selling tritanium near low-sec?

I am using this character primarily as a mining and trade alt now, and am wondering how to maximize the value of my tritanium sales. The obvious thing to do seems to fly to Jita and sell there, but the possibility of losing a load to gankers and the relative length of the trip makes me wonder if this is really the best way to do it.

My expectation is that if some people flew out of null-sec looking to buy some trit, and found something at Jita or just above Jita prices at the start of their trip, they would just buy some tritanium there. But can one person (me) supply enough trit to make them even bother stopping? Have I overlooked anything? I am wondering what more experienced players think of this idea of mine.

Well, the problem is that people rarely check the market prices at the edge of low, they just go straight to a trade hub that can supply all of what they need at once.

Wait until you got 90M units, stick it on the market for jita buy order price and it will sell within a day.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

This is a good idea except that I don't have the capital to wait until I have 29 million veldspar Lol

you may bluntly try asking around in local if anyone is interested in buying tritanium from you at Jita prices. Just be wary of gankers, scammers etc. and use contracts for selling the ore/minerals.

The only way you will get an answer is to put up a sell order and see. If it doesn't sell, all you lose are broker fees.

Just make sure the null sec entry point isnt to far from the low sec your mining near, and that the null sec isn't NPC 0.0.

Figure out who holds sov in the system get in contact with a diplo from there alliance and tell them you have tons of trit at jita prices on there door step.

That wont hurt either.

You might be able to make a decent profit as business partners if they think its worth there while.
