Ganking hi-sec players (miners, mission runners, etc) has become a sport, complete with prizes and private, alliance sponsored insurance payouts for ships lost in the process. The fact is if you're in a Hulk or any type of hauler, you are automatically a target and you have almost no way to defend yourself. There are more ships destroyed in hi-sec on any given day than null-sec and low-sec combined.

For this reason, I am moving to rename "carebears" to "hardbears" and renaming "nullbears" to "carebears".

Ways to defend yourself without actually doing anything at all 101

Don't haul or fly what you can't afford to lose, getting ganked is a risk you accept when you hit undock, carebear or not.

If you can't afford to lose it, freight it with someone like redfrog or pushx, it gets ganked you keep the collateral

Insure your mission ships and haulers, any financial payback reduces the hit on your wallet.

Pimp fits are the equivalent to painting a target on your back, the man in his Artybaddon or Tornado loves your pimp fit tengus, they go squish and drop good loot.

If war decced, don't carry on as normal , you'll probably have 3 choices if crimewatch gets updated, hire mercs, fight them yourself with some allies, blueball the aggressor by playing on an out of corp alt until he gets bored.

If you're a miner, fly a retriever for the next month, they're cheaper than hulks, mine in a battleship whatever, just don't mine in an untanked max yield hulk, it's going to die.

I'm a hisec trader/missioner I follow the above and have rarely been popped unless I've done something daft. like accidentally APing into losec, never used the damn thing since.

Chances that 90% of the next months whine threads come from people that can't follow simple rules? 100%

That term won't be appropriate until carebears not only stop whining, but actually try to get suicide ganking buffed.

Screw suicide ganking, it's a lost cause and only useful for the odd indie/hulk kill. Killing anything decent with suicide ganking is both boring and, usually, unprofitable. Its a stupid mechanic that has only become such a big "issue" because high sec care bears have been successful in eliminating virtually every other form of non-consensual PvP.

I say nerf their ability to avoid war decs, then nerf high sec into the ground. In every other game guards exist only to protect newbie areas and trade hubs, if high sec care bears want to live in a police-enforced newbie area they should be willing to accept that that involves making **** all ISK.

Oh, and when we're done with that we should nerf local, replace it with an Intel tool, and then start destroying logistics chains. Starting with a very serious look at jump freighters, the use of carriers as a personal logistics asset and nullified t3s.

If we can get all that crap addressed, and suppress the screams of these "hard core" idiots then maybe making ISK in this game would become fun again. Because at the moment its a mindless grind, and even in null sec there is so little danger its laughable.

Maybe you could just leave your furry terms completely out of this game.
