Solo PvP is a myth. Sure everyone gets a chance to murder some poor SOB on gate or trapped in bubble when traveling. However, it is much more enjoyable cruising null/lowsec with a cyno bait and hope some elite PvP gang egresses me. Why? Because EVE is a social game, and I have 100 dudes sitting on the titan waiting to murder everything on grid in a flash. We all wait with anticipation, and then when we are done podding and looting your wreaks we laugh at your pathetic fits.

My point is, get friends and join a PvP oriented corp/alliance that will teach you how to fight as a team rather than a hobo gang waiting to be thrown in to a meat-grinder.

Funny how your 100 friends failed to catch three little frigates. Cry

What people think solo PVP is: Fit ship, undock, find solo fight in 15 mins, have fun fight.

What solo PVP is: 2 hours looking for a fight. Fight not suitable, run. Another half hour looking for a fight. Fight not suitable, run. Another half hour looking for a fight. Fight not suitable, run. OK this fight is fine. Fight.

This is very true. I used to think Null Sec was so dangerous.....before i went out and got 27 jumps deep into fountain and a few other regions. Truth is out of 30 systems i explored, on average only 5 or less have anyone there. Its actually relatively deserted in alot of the nullsec areas that i have seen.

That being said, can someone suggest a few hotspots in nullsec they know of so i can show up and try to bomb the **** out of an unsuspecting gate camp or fleet?

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

If you are very new to PvP try can flipping. I learned in gallente space in a rifter (or something less intimidating). If you look up potential targets age and check their KB history you can determine if they are PvPers or not. Try the systems that have a decent amount of belt/population just outside of noob areas.

My philosophy is if you are trying to learn a new sport, you don't join a professional team on day one and have them teach you what to do. Get practice against people who have even less experience than you do and slowly work your way up. A tutor never hurts either.

Also, do your home work. When i first started PvPing, I would practice D-scanning as I flew around highsec. If i saw any ships who's name I didn't recognize, I would look up their possible fittings on battleclinic and plug them into EFT to play around with.

I have literally never met a good PvPer (meaning they can and do actively solo and FC and get kills at a decent efficiency) who learned PvP in a 0,0 sov setting.
