honestly I thought his FF comments while ill advised were not anything nearly as bad as the future FOX news (newscorp for you Brits) commentators on the forums made it out to be.

I watched the video and frankly see much more disturbing (and in some cases illegal) speech in jita local right now

CCP really needs to man the hell up, they are 50% responsible for mittens getting to the point where he could get hammered and say stupid **** on stage at fanfest, yet he gets to be the subject of a bloody witch hunt by gutless pubbies on the forums and drooling mid-level accountants at CCP while I get to listen to dozens of alts in jita spewing hate speech and posting content in chat that would lead to a ban of most any other players if CCP actually decided to pay attention to something that doesn't get play in the gamer blogs or has to be reported to them via the petition system.

Really, like him or hate him, mittens got a raw deal and CCP's response to the entire overblown situation was abhorrently shameful.

Goons don't really do the whole "pet" thing. They really aren't into the whole "padding their space with people they don't like" thing, either.

Goons tend to shoot people they don't like. Hell, Goons tend to shoot people they DO like, for fun. All these people that you refer to as "pets", likely because you think they have no voice or something (idk, really). They are all friends of Goons. They like Goons, and Goons like them.

Goons don't abandon their friends, like certain alliances did with their "pets". If Raiden. or whoever decides to try and take a swipe at an ally, and that ally looks like they might not handle it, Goons will come and help out if asked. Not for any cost, or payment or anything. Just to help out a friend in need.

So you can take your little "pets" business and turn around and go back to whatever corner of space that you call home and enjoy your little ideas on your own time.

I love it how people talk as though this is the first time and people have always wanted to burn Jita and goons finally did it.

People burned Jita as far back as the release of the game, even killed concord so keep dreaming. Besides, goons have yet to do anything in this game someone has not done before, difference is PR and back then less people gave a ****.. They are not even the most organized or even the largest or first at anything as far as I know.

I saw a greater Jita fire in 2006, twice.

Goons use to be cool when they started out in eve, now they obviously try too hard and the only difference between them and BoB today is that Goons care too much, more about this game and their epeen than BoB ever did.

They deny and joke about it, but I have seen top world ranked Raid guilds with worlds firsts in WoW care less about their game than goon cares about eve.

And for that I also love goons, because they are one of the few groups that gets CCP to fix **** in EVE because of that passion.

SMA was kind enough to host a bunch of fellows (ENEMIES, fyi) for some time before having to evict them.

Christ. Goons aren't protesting anything. If anything, they are celebrating the return of their leader. Also testing CCP's dedication to the sandbox.


This situation as well as all the recent and proposed changes proves without a shadow of a doubt that CCP has no balls or backbone. Claiming this is testing CCP's dedication to the sandbox is pure bullshit. This situation shows CCP doesn't give a rats-ass about the sandbox. In fact, this whole thing was orchestrated by CFC in cooperation with CCP.

SMA is a joke though, respect for goons and test and even fa etc. But SMA?Lol "Today we got an alliance meeting, plan is.... and I don't care that all spies sits and listens on our TS now... **** how did they know we were coming? ... SB fleet please decloak and open fire on that interceptor... we lost fleet guys.... fleet op? I am a miner!.... Guys I lost all the PLEXES, I guess hauling afk in a shuttle through highsec was dumb, derp.... guys where is everyone? only 10 people on in entire alliance when we are invaded... some noob corp wardecced us today, noobsLol .... SMA did a very good amount of work in Branch, and they've got a nice bit of branch (which they helped take).

But you just see them as pets or renters. Whatever makes you feel happy, I guess.
