Well there was the Starfleet Dental episode where in STO they turned a entirele PVE game into nonconsentul PVP vy using exploits
Only reason the GMs didnt ban them is they were half the population by that time lol

They are using a mechanic, which is open for anyone, of any size to do, suicide ganking isnt new, and has been around since the game began, this is just the biggest we have seen it be since the last hulkageddon.

As for CCP supporting it, why would they not? this game is a sandbox, shaped by those who play, anyone can do this, its not limited to a small group, it makes news, positive news, be it slightly ironic positive news, and shows that Eve truely is a sandbox.

No we have tons, you'd just say they were all "faked" or "not true" so why bother showing them to you? you're pro goons, and anything that is anti-goons you'd shoot down just because you can't handle the truth.

Mittens got banned for harmless words. Words that were actually not nearly as bad as things people say in-game all the time. Everyone decided to use the opportunity for out of game retaliation against him for in-game grudges and everyone dogpiled on him on the forum. A gaming site caught wind of the typical QQ threads and sensationalized the story, followed by other gaming sites copy/pasting what they said almost verbatim. Ironically, they ended up being the cyberbully instead of mittens when they posted slander in connection to his real name. The internet was its typical brain damaged mouth breather self and made real life threats to him and his family. CCP decided this was all bad publicity and suddenly decided it was wrong, despite looking rather amused by it at fanfest, and banned mittens to save face to a bunch of nobody bloggers in case the real news picked up the story. Mittens was understandably butthurt and retaliated against threats to his wife with threats to freighters. Then time passed and everyone but you stopped talking about it. Welcome to last month.

The event was planned as a celebration for 10k votes (aka why he got right over 10k votes)

The Banning of Mittani simply put a date and a more "valid" reason in the "goon is evil" perspective.

So FACT, the event was casually planned as the CSM election started, a way to make the goonies actually vote
