I had some questions about the Jita event this week

What is a goo kwaf(sp?) and a mit tani? There's tons of people in Jita and my corp mates in coms said there was an event today. They told me to check out the forums and here I am. Nothing in events.

So whats going on? Do these events happen often in Eve and do they always create so much lag?

Burn Jita has been cancelled, so there's nothing to be concerned about.
Feel free to continue business as usual & don't forget to undock your freighters full of faction ships & mods, officer mods & PLEX.

This is an event that was planned back in Jan/Feb if the CFC leader got more than 10 000 votes in the election for CSM boards.
Then, after Fan Fest, the CFC alliance leader was banned on some bogus charge, lost his seat, and the 10058 votes he got was nullified.

The 'price' of a weekend event i JITA is still there, and therefore the CFC coalition is now doing their thing to eat up some EVEs stockpiles of minerals and modules.

I do look forward to the reports of how much minerals have been destroyed in the form of ships and modules over this weekend.

Then, after this weekend it roles into a new event called HULKAGEDDON. That event is to kill miners in Empire. If this is not done, noone will be able to sell mining ships, mining mods, mining lasers, mining drones or mining crystals. At least not with a profit.

If you want to get away from the Event, stay at least 5 jumps away from Jita, and your problem is solved for the weekend.
For the Hulkageddon event (that will last all of May) you have to stay away from the highway systems, probably about 2-4 jumps off, and you should be safe. The Effect of the Hulkageddon is a spread of the EVE population, and that is good.

There will probably be an event to kill mission runners later on, CCP Devs permitting, and maybe also a clean out the High-Sec-Incursion event.

There are 5000 systems in eve, but just a couple of hundred is really used, and that is to bad. These events work towards rectifying that.

I always figured there had to be a limit as to how many Concord ships are available per system.

So much for them being able to call in "sufficient support from neighbouring systems"... :D

no you didn't.
You just made yourself look dumb.

There are 2 options:
1: It was the mittani that was speaking, if so, telling someone to BIO mass themselves are within the TOS/EULA
2: It was the actual person behind mittani that was speaking at a party, and that would make the whole thing an out of game issue, and the ban is then bogus.

So, go biomass yourself.

This event , and Hulkageddon is so stupid to the point how would CCP allow this. Its almost as if i want to start a strike with all industry corporations to pull all ships mods and other buildable stuff off market to make pvp players suffer hows that for grief tactics. Hulkageddon lasting a month is really retarted. How is industry corporations supose to plex their accounts if they cant mine for a month? How are they supose to fuel their poses if they cant mine ice? CCP has allowed this to go way to far to the point Industry is useless and helpless in this game they cant tank or protect themselve, they cant mine efficiently with out sacrifcing tanking ability. Ive seen some really retarted killmails on event and some do deserve to lose orcas and stuff but overall its such a hassel to be an industry pilot why bother?

Instead of destroying things and pissing off new players and folks who mind their own business, try making the other 4500 systems usefull.

Wow guys... I got my skills for a Covetor the very day before the start of Hulkageddon, and not enough money to buy the Exhumers skillbook since I spent nearly all my isk, but do you see me whining about not being able to mine? I just grab that dusty cruiser and do a few missions, and when it's all over, mine a crapton really fast, refine it all, and, together with what I have stashed atm, laugh my ass off at the noticeable difference in price. (5 isk more for 1 unit of Isogen would already raise my profit by a LOT :D)

As for the big guys: A month. Train your shiny Exhumers V skill or something. So what if you have to look out a bit more or do something else.

(A hardcore carebear... But not being sad over these kinda events. I'd almost feel special... XD)

OP 3/10 for "mit tani" :)

CPT JHawk007 wrote:

CCP cannot allow or disallow anything. They make the game. Players play it. Within the EULA players may do anything. "Events" like these (Burn JIta, Hulkageddon) are what make Eve what it is. Stop whining and figure out a way to avoid becoming a victim of these "events", or maybe make those other systems more interesting for yourselves.

Edit: Best to maybe rage-quit :)

Any colour you like.

Nobody here is whining about what these people do. I was just pointing out that the stated reasons are total BS. There is only one reason these people do these kinds of things and that is to **** people off enough that they whine either in game or here. So the gankers can get a hard on reading about it in safety behind their computer.

If you really want to stop these things either leave the belts and take an Eve break, or gank the gankers.

Why stop it if I enjoy it :D Only reminds me that I should train for PvP someday... :P
After a month of reduced mining, AND the removal of alloys in drones, it'll be fun to see some money differences in selling minerals, and that's what we get back for potentially losing our ships.

Yes, in a strange way all this may end up benefiting miners the most :)

Any yes, these kind of events result in weeding out of individuals who cannot reconcile ship loss. Ship loss is part of Eve, and every loss is a lesson.

Edit: And yes, people love looking at killboards and bragging about their kills. This is Eve, after all.

Any colour you like.

There are nothing for new players in Jita.
New players do NOT fly Freighters and were therefore not attacked.
New players do NOT fly Jump Freighters and were therefore not attacked.

People stocking the markets are doing market PVP against competitors. I do believe you need to go and look up some EVE-Lore to see what CCP made EVE out to be back in 2003, and how they have shaped it along with the players until this day.

IF you trade on the markets, you are competing with someone and that has consequences.
IF you supply the markets, you are competing with someone and that has consequences.
IF you haul to or from the markets, you are competing with someone and that has consequences.
IF you war-dec someone to defend your values, you are competing with someone and that has consequences.
IF you mine, you are competing with someone and that has consequences.
IF you invent T2/T3 modules and ships for the open market... yes... it has consequences.
