I'm watching the Justin.tv stream right now and it just looks like typical boring Jita with the occasional red TEST pilot playing ding-dong undock with the faction police. Maybe I missed the excitement, but wasn't this supposed to be a whole weekend thing?

All I've seen so far is killboard padding and Jita spam thats a little more interesting than usual. I left after about an hour becuase of the time dilation and boredom. It is funny seeing your ship warp go slower than a MWD though

There was a fleet a Drakes moving around and warping in and out last night at 4-4 before the TiDi/Lag took full effect and it looked like a flock of Starlings. It was beautiful.

I agree, this is one of the most beautiful actionshots I've seen in Eve. Also love that Charon freighter, it's almost like he's thinking *just another day in Eve* while ships blow up left & right.


At first, I was certain someone would set off a smart bomb and obliterate my Reaper (using the "look at" feature from a safe distance only works so well, because the target doesn't stay put). But once it became clear that wasn't very likely to happen, the freighters became the best part of the whole thing.

It was like being inside the tank of "that video" at a Japanese aquarium with the awesome, relaxing soundtrack.

The freighters became remarkably graceful and calm counterpoints to everything else going on. None of them were attacked (that I saw). The Charon is probably the overall favorite shot I've taken in the game, ever, but this "cute little" Obelisk peeking in from the corner, while a couple of Tornados fly in formation and a battleship points itself so perfectly at at the camera it becomes Darth Vader's fighter, is also fun:

My expectations for the event were that it would fizzle, but it neither fizzled nor seemed to cause any "vicious" harm to Jita. It was a extremely very fun live event that showed off many of the game's best features - including the technical chops of the time dilation team (without which, the servers would almost certainly have come crashing down).

Thank you. I was a bit surprised by the freighters at first, too, but I didn't see any of them get attacked. The charon image was one of the last ones I was around for, and I think it really is an example of the game's visual appeal at its best:

Can some of you guys get some really good HD pics (1080P res) and possibly throw up your AA settings to max? I know it may be asking to toast some lesser comps, but as I am rebuilding mine right now and also cannot view/play eve at work (working on that) I cannot get any snapshots of the carnage myself. :(


There are some great shots to be made into backgrounds, I just don't like putting a 1280/1024 background on a 1080P Screen Ugh

seriously i figured trying to sneak in with some destroyers to sell was going to be tough... ive only been locked once... mostly its just people sitting there doing nothing

Oh, Do go on... no seriously ive got nothing better to do then listen to all the petty arguments and feeble trolling attempts...
