Give CEOs the ability to leave generic reviews of corp members when they leave the corporation & players leaving a corp an opportunity to leave a review of the corp they're leaving.

Basically this feature, and corp history, of recruitment. Remove it from actual character info. Merge medals and stuff into skill certificates, and thus make CVs something players write and control.. Not some CIA background check..

Players should handle their own intel of this kind..

Currently the intel on this is summed up as "Give us your API key" before we let you into our corporation, followed by "You're too new, clearly you're an alt" or "You've been in too many corporations, clearly you're a spy".

Concord has our info & if you have a Pilot's License so you have the ability to look it up. Why shouldn't our former CEOs have the option to leave a note in our files?

If someone wants to know, they can just ask the guy.

When I was running a corporation I always did this. It doesn't take long to send a few Eve Mails out to the CEOs of previous corporations. More than once this has saved me a lot of grief.

A feature like this is far more likely to be used for griefing / harassment purposes than anything legitimate, and it will encourage less social interaction between people (now you no longer feel inclined to contact previous corporations). I don't think either of those things is really any good.

This would make investigating pointless.,.,

If you need a memo to find out if youre recruiting a scammer or stealer then talk to former ceos of the person.

Investigating can be fun and it heightens social activity in the game.

Now this is a true one. If we allowed generic comments it would be much more likely that it would be abused...

So maybe something a bit less free form. If a player leaves the corp the corp they've left locks them into "Disinclined", "Eligible", "Ineligible" or "Mutually Disinclined" for Re-application. Make it a semi-permanate status (has to be changed by the CEO or player and takes 1-2 weeks for a change to take effect).

You can already do this. You can already set up a site where people can rate corps/CEOs and leave feedback on them. Eve is a sandbox.

While that's true I am of the belief that as a whole people are lazy & will exert the minimum amount of effort to get something done. I think that something like this would give new corporations & new ceos getting used to the game a fair chance to be forewarned about players that they may be looking to have join their corporations.

Additionally it completely ignores the side agenda I was steering this toward of giving some kind of restriction on rejoining corporations. It should indicate as such on your profile if you jump corp during a war and disallow you from rejoining the corporation while the war continues.

Well, get over yourself, CCP has better things to do.
