Is Harrassment defined anywhere?

First off, no, I'm not currently, nor have I been harassed in the past, (but I'm posting on a cowardly forum alt just in case of such things in the future, heh)

Is what is considered harassment defined in length anywhere? I checked the Terms of service as well as EVEopledia and can't find any mention of what in game activity is or isn't considered harassment.

I think it is taken on a case by case basis.

harassment in a pvp game is not black and white .

TBH i believe harassment in chat ( Linking porn/ Racism ect ) and rookie systems are taken seriously.

3. HARASSMENT

An immediate permanent ban of an account may result if a player:

a. Organizes or participates in a corporation or group that is based on or advocates any anti-ethnic, anti-gay, anti-religious, racist, sexist or other hate-mongering philosophies.
Severe offences may result in an immediate ban without warning; however, warnings may be given for first time offenses, followed by account suspensions of varying degree and ultimately a permanent ban if a player:

a. Is abusive, obscene, offensive, sexually explicit, ethnically or racially offensive, or threatening to another player or an official EVE Online representative.
b. Uses role-playing as an excuse for violating the guidelines regarding fair play with others.
c. Sends excessive e-mails, EVE-mails or petitions, petitions with false information or repeatedly petitions under the wrong category in an effort to circumvent the customer support queue.

it is not monitored either. Racism, Gender discrimination etc is used all the time. Especially openly by some major alliance members and nothing is being done about it.

If you are going to petition someone for racism, you most probably end up having a petition reply such as "To find a mission in your location, you need to right click space and then the mission will show there, after clicking it, you will be warping to the accelerator gate", replies like this you get often, because most of CCP employees that read your petitions do not even speak your language, or English for example.

The only thing I have seen work, was in like 2003-2004 when people had abusive names, such as this one dude, was called "Fuhrer" (leader in German) or The Fuhrer or Der Fuhrer, whatever, was renamed to EvePlayer24434qw53 , which is another proof of Eve's lack in monitoring and taking wrong actions. Since when is someone that calls himself LEADER in german, refering to A. Hitl...

But that is eve logic I guess, so whether you do it or someone does it to you, chances that nothing is being done about it is at 99.9%

Hope I could answer you
