Oddity of the launcher

I'm not having any significant problems with the launcher, however, a confusing issue seems to come up in the logic of how the launcher works.

I have my launcher setup so that the UI of the launcher doesn't show and launches the game directly if no update is needed. However, if there IS an update available, I see a download dialog that comes up, downloads something, then closes, and nothing else happens after that. From there I have to re-launch my client for the launcher to go do its thing, I can then press play, and things go on as usual.

Basically what I'm saying is that I have to launch EVE.EXE twice to get into the game to
- First time to download some small package
- Second time to launch the launcher to run the update
- Click LAUNCH to run the game

When I say "Launch my client" I have three shortcuts to my three accounts on my desktop, all pointing to EVE.EXE in the appropriate junctioned directory. (IE: c:\program files (x86)\CCP\EVE_Xander\eve.exe).

What would be nice (For me anyways) would be that when I click on the icon for my account, it does all three steps for me. Does that initial download for the launcher (I'm guessing) then loads the launcher to download and apply the update, then launches the game. One double-click, some patience, and I'm in.
