My alt has been hanging out in a Noctis and I can't deny that there is a certain energy going on right now. Everyone has tanked their ships and fit salvagers high. The Nocti are ruling the salvage scene pretty much, but the destroyers are doing a better job of getting the wrecks outside of the normal undock procession. I'm having fun... we are practicing on all the nub ships (and on that note Sunshine and Lolipops you have probably been popped a thousand times no exaggeration what the hell are you doing?!?!) but it's been funny.

I hope those stupid goons drag their swords across the line on this because it'll be a fun event... Pirate

You can hate them all you want and even if no freighters have died yet (that i've seen) it's still been amazing to just watch. The live stream has been great, also the sheer amount of people who have just joined the stream after seeing it have 2k viewers who then have become intrigued by the game and what is happening has been impressive.

CCP really needs to get behind this kind of thing with some kind of live stream on the website or something, especially for events like this. So many non-eve people in the live stream chat were amazed that this whole thing was not only possible but completely player driven.

I have already had great fun, and was only there for an hour.

On the downside, every action has to be planned out, because it takes a while just to finish a salvage cycle.


Might get in there with a combat frig tomorrow and shoot something.

Unfortunatelywe don't have any proper fleets in Jita yet,that will have to wait until people wake up today,so we missed a little gift someone flew around.

I was thinking every salvager counts if it takes 30 tornados to kill a freighter but you are right.... there is some advantage if you want to loot. I have a few JFs ready to go in case a freighter gets ganked but I've seen no ganks thus far... just people making poor choices with regards to flashy red pods and some people who just don't give a snip and gank the random T2 frig...

Good noctis fit for this:
High: a T2 tractor and 7 T2 salvagers
Mid: Faction med shield extender and a sensor booster w/ speed script
Low: Still playing with either nanos or cargo expanders.
Rigs: 2 salvage tackles and a tracking speed rig

Yeah,man. The Nocs that were salvaging still are. I saw few guys undocking in the freighters,faction BSs etc etc. You're right about poor target selection. Although the tractor tug-o-war outside 4-4 was awesome to see...chuckle.. If you can get a vidcap,please let me know...
