Do these offline POSs hurt you in anyway? I mean, if you don't need the moon, then said structure really has next to no effect on your life.

So please try explaining once again, why the entire mechanic of POSs should change?

Indeed, any ship approaching a Sleeper Owned Station would quickly find themselves in dire distress... Which is all the more reason to call these stations SOS's. Twisted

I found that if you convo the original corp diplo of an abandoned tower you can usually reach an agreement which suits both parties.
Somehting like this:
1) FInd abandoned tower
2) Convo corp who own it
3) Offer half it market value for the tower
4) Pay deposit for tower (10% value)
5) Your alt joins their corp
6) you unanchor tower and scoop or have your main reanchor it
7) Pay the original owners the remainder of their fee
8) Quit or get kicked from their corp

Everybodys happy - you get tower for fraction of market price, they get some isk back on something they thought was lost for good.

Done this a couple times now - downside is it can take a bit of messing about in negotiation and means your can't abandon the WH during that process. But if you're living in the WH anyway its a nice solution.

On fanfest this year this issue was talked about. They talked about sleepers random attack towers, in every WH and also talking about limit size of towers in C1-C3 small - medium CoolCool
