Now that Dust is near release, will CCP be refocusing back on World of Darkness?

Also, will Eve players be getting any good offers to Dust better than retail?

I"m not sure how you can get better than free, unless you are talking about AUR prices.

If so, I vote for being able to transfer AUR from your EVE character to your DUST character instead. Smile

Exactly, there should be some loyalty scheme, perhaps even as simple as AUR transfers, either way it is cash in CCP's pocket right?

Remember they gifted AUR tokens so they have the mechanism already. Could we also transfer / trade our AUR we have in our accounts to DUST players and vica versa?

Also, Dust isn't free, if you don't have a PS :) Plus if you factor in 1) time, 2) electricity 3) pants.

Maybe by late 2013. Dust is coming out this winter and then they need to focus on Dust in the following months to make sure there aren't any glaring issues. And then there's the first Dust expansion the following summer.

As for EVE player offers, what offers? cheaper Aurum? It's already free to play and the only thing people spend money on is Aurum so.......

Maybe an exclusive item like a shiny gun or armor or something bur that's about it.

I find gaming works better without 3.

I'd like it if wod took place in the eve timeline, would be pretty neat to have high-tech vampires.
And im totally serious, this would really be awesome.

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

..watch the video and you'll probably understand. It was almost depressing.

Of course, I did drop out after 10 minutes or so, but WoD was hardly the topic of the day. He actually made a pont of indicating it was barely a work in progress and hadn't really got out of the preliminary development stage, though not in as many words.

Mostly it was inane filler and uninformative banter. ..just watch it if you haven't already seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ch2vB1ZatPI Tell me that does not at least start out as dull and characteristic of Western Culture. Even the silly secong inane clip is taken from an American insurance commercial.

I wasn't referring to the culture of WoD, but the culture behind the speaker who happens to be the Senior Producer of WoD. If you can call it a culture, because it isn't really; it's just what's left after you srtip all culture away from a people decended from various people in other parts of the world.

I'm no different for the most part incidently and it's why I make the observation. I see the false pretense of an attempt to be meaningful and dynamic, (something I refuse to do), that is so common to Western Culture in Canada and the US, and really just disguises an inability to truly present something from the self as a result of a lack of any definable individualty.

It's obvious to me, but I grew up here and had my individuality slowly stripped away by people refusing to accept others for who they are rather than what they would have them be for their sake. It's in the school system, in the jobs we work in, and in the interactions we have with government representatives.

The only thing I have managed to hold on to. is my code. My ethics and sense of responsibility, and my moral structure. Yet I lack true idealism and I find I can't relate to people on a common level. I have more difficulty with people who phony it up for appearances however, knowing their falshood for what it is.

I have become clinical in my observation of humanity.

As I said, it's not really a post about WoD, but about the presentation at fanfest and how I saw the Senior Producer and the representation of his colleagues in the beginning of the video to be emblematic of Western society after some brief analysis of my reactions to the video following that brief viewing.

I use myself for example because it is the easiest and I have long known of my worsening condition, having recognized it for what it is early on. Perhaps it is worse for me because of my parents detachment, and I'm sure it is more difficult in some ways because I refuse to play the game of phony presentations and artificial personalities.

Obviously, that would make it easier, if I just accepted it and allowed it to overcome me like most everybody else.
