POS Research Facility question

Hey folks,

I'm setting up a pos in a dead end system, was going to keep my
BPOs on an npc station in the system and use them from the pos
as others have recommended. was hoping to do manufacturing from
the npc station as well.

However none of the stations have S&I, are there any skills that would
allow me to access the BPOs from my POS if they're 1 - 2 jumps away ?

Basically going to use the POS as a dedicated research/invention facility to
get my basic blueprints scaled up.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Scientific Networking will allow you to work from an NPC station, but the blueprints must be in the same system as the POS, cannot be a jump or two away.

The stations don't need S&I.

All you need is a corp hanger

Ah really ? So just keep it in the station corp hangar and the POS can access it ?

great!

thanks!

Shop around for the right station to use. Ones without any facilities or mission agents tend to be cheaper.

Like 1 or 2 million a month.

while this is true, the Office in the NPC station (with the BPOs inside) MUST be in the same system as the POS (where the labs are anchored).

If you're using manufacturing arrays (ammo, small/med/lg ship, whatever), then the minerals MUST be in the assembly array that you're building the thing at (or at least that's how it worked last time I used assy arrays).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

^^This

Helps to make sure all your arrays (if you have multiple) arranged so you can sit less then 3000 from all of them. Then you can shuffle materials directly, without needing to drop it in cargo and move.

With Supply Chain Management, you should be able to start production jobs from station as well, without needing the minerals at the POS itself.

Afraid not.

You need supply chain management to do stuff remotely.

But as with all S&I jobs, the only thing that can be remote is the blueprint. All resources must be in the production facility.

basically:

The blueprint needs to be in the same system as the POS, in a corp hanger.
The materials needed (minerals, data cores, that kind of thing) have to be in the POS module.

You have to be in the same region, up to the distance specified by the skill.
