Station camping, in this instance, is not a particularly effective tactic. Since the purpose is to hurt those who caused trouble, the goal is not to simply prevent them from playing EVE how they want to, but to cause as much harm as you can to them. This is done by destroying their assets, which not only costs them ISK and time to replace, but will also make them afraid to play EVE as they normally would (especially once you've killed them a few times). By intelligently ganking their targets (using scouts) they will be far more effective in their campaign - which is exactly why they're going about it in this way.

Your previous post implied they would do the ganking with neutrals. They simply stated they'll be using neutral scouts so their targets don't get a heads up before they strike. Using this tactic is called, "not being a complete idiot."

If I wanted to strike real fear it would go a like this.
Have your prey on their knees looking you right in the eye down the muzzle of your weapon.
Make them beg for their life, internet space ship or property.
Then remove it from them.

You propose to walk up behind them and end it with a single shot to the head. If not for a bounty or reward thats about as gratifying as working in a slaughter house.

So they need 30 tornados fited with 1200mm eatch gank to beat one freighter? Cool, in theory they may drop around 200mil at once, 1200mm are expensive stuf even t1 + some other items ;> and one fited tornado cost around 100mil +- 20mil isk depend fit, cool story, waste around 3bil (30 tornado) to kill one freighter, phatetic strategy.

Well Good luck with looting own loot, while a lot newbis in rooki ships visit jita just because they want wach what happens during event... Loting any wreaks in jita is like lottery, oh wait they sacrifice 20 trashers to kill curple ninja bantams.

I'm no fan of Goonswarm as such, I do however admire them for what they bring to the table, they are good at what they do, and what they do is divide & conquer.

As for sacrificing ships? that's what it's all about. From what I can gather they couldn't give two tosses about winning the isk war, their intent is to cause mayhem in Jita, if that involves sacrificing a thrasher to pop a ninja looter then fair play to them. When you have what is to all intents and purposes a bottomless wallet anything is possible and losses don't matter, especially if you're having fun.
