For instance the OP has now pissed me off.

Today was a good patch, looking forward to the rest of the expansion.

All good changes.

I pissed you off? Wow.

This is a named expansion. My point was that they put alot of hype into relatively little!

Taking out methods of isk income and making things more expensive means less can afford = less profit. all the major t1 empire producers I know do not like.

In this case there was no equal or opposite reaction, CCP did nothing to counter the negative side effects of this patch.

No, it's not. it's a pre-expansion to next months MAIN EXPANSION. you could even call it, an escalation!

To be honest, I'm not even sure what this patch brought to the table.

Titan nerf? Doesn't concern us.
Wardec changes? Now only the super rich can afford to wardec.
Nerf to Incursions? Doesn't affect us.
Nerf to Drone regions? Doesn't concern us.
Lots of invisible UI and bug fixes? Doesn't noticeably affect us.

Other than that.... I don't know.

It's not a patch, not an Expansion, or even a inter-whatever you called it. It is an Escalation.

..or in plain English, they are making adjustments in preparation for the Inferno expansion. They just gave it a fancy name and a cool new splash screen. Also known as a mini-expansion. Intended to make the release of content easier, less likely to cause problems, and to make it simpler to define the cause of problems that do occur.

Seriously, where were you when they announced that they were moving to this system?

There have been changes; it is nothing significant. Whatever they did, it seems to be working and it was around 290 MB, or a little less than 1/3 of a GB. The most important and obvious changes of which are the new UI features I haven't seen yet. Also of note is the tracking penalty removal for Siege mode. If you can't figurte that out, it means Dreads just got a buff.

OK you didnt really **** me off, I think you just annoyed me. Reason is because Escalation was never intended to be a expansion, it is merely a patch. Inferno comes next month and there will probably be another patch after Inferno.

So you see there really is no reason for ten different threads made by people whining that this "update" is a lame expansion when the public still doesnt know all the features we will get this year.

Are you saying T1 manufacturers dont like that manufacturable T1 items no longer drop as loot? Or are you simply mad drone poo was removed and mining is now a valid profession? Or are you a titan pilot who is upset that other ships can now have a impact in fleet warfare?

Let's see…

As a low-ISK PvPer, industrialist and mission runner, there is nothing about this patch I don't like (except maybe the way hitpoint values are being displayed).

I make more money from my industry, my (admittedly puny attempts at) PvP hurt more, and my missions give me what missions are supposed to give me. All is as it should be. As far as “stuff being pushed out without it being an actual expansion”-expansion goes, it's thumbs up all the way. Big smile

I have had a theory for some time now that when it comes time for an expansion and CCP have nothing, they do their very best to see how many people they can **** off. These pseudo-expansions are nothing more than a cheap trick to earn a quick buck in plex sales.

IMO this patch has pissed off...

High isk pvpers (titans)
Low isk pvpers (ship prices)
Industrialists (drone poo, min prices)
Pve ( no increase in missions, only decrease incursions (t1 loot)

It didn't even change much! There have been interexpansion updates with more content!

Like the titans tracking this has not been an escalation to inferno, quite the opposite. CCP please stop employing artists and spin doctors and give us a real expansion! Bring back red moon rising!

I have no strong feelings about it apart from the Titan tracking nerf which I strongly approve of, and the drone alloy change which has been desperately needed for like 4 years.

I guess what I'm saying is that this pre-expansion patch will probably have more - and better - effect on the game than Tyrannis and Incarna combined.

Removal of metaq 0 t1 loot is great - had lots more meta 4 loot drop - expect nerf coming in this
