The point you're missing, OP, is that what the Goons' plan is COMPLETELY in keeping with the sandbox nature of Eve. Goons have just as much right to attack people in Jita as people have to attack them back; if someone really wants to do something about the Goon attack on Jita, they should counter-gank the Goons instead.

I hear what you're saying, and i do agree to an extent. I think the biggest challenge is that the GSF is acting as if it's their Sandbox, and there the only ones in it.

I give GSF a certain amount of props, because they embrace the game in a way that very few do. They push the limits, and remind us of boundaries. Those are valuable contributions to the sandbox.

So sandbox only means freedom to attack, not freedom to avoid aggression or just merely defend?

The insta pop alpha and concord kamikaze is getting old..

Compared to what I have seen of null fleet fights these activities are more like violence binge drinking sessions, then anything else. Its tipping cows. Empire have no teeth or defences except for those swooping angels.

The value advantage in empire is manhours, but without the right tools that is nothing compared to the raw materials value in null. Hence the unbalance. Till now ccp have mainly tweaked concord as a solution, not given retributive powers that reflects the manpower in empire..

It would be like giving the US army hardware wise to a developing country..

There is something fundamentally flawed in the game, and its more luck than design that it actually works as a sandbox at all.
The main reason being the markets. A feature that seems to be overlooked a lot by design upgrades..

If you were remotely paying attention you'd know some High Sec players are doing something about it! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=88910&find=unread

The make EVE into Space Wow crowd isn't going to do anything but cry on the forums pleading with CCP to.. well change EVE into space Wow. Fortunately not everyone in High Sec is like that.

I like how you accuse me of not paying attention, yet omit most of my post which would explain my point. You don't work for a newspaper, do you? =P

Please note a difference between rhetoric and an accusation before you speak of my ADD like that. It has feelings, too.

Why would they/we want to stop Burn Jita?

It's gonna be great to watch, and there will be lots of GCC ships to shoot at and get killmails from.
