...or stargates are... on fire? I swear. I jumped through a gate and I sat there for a moment and just listened. It honestly sounded like crackling fire.

Not only that, but when I'm docking in a station I get this loud, almost scary, blast of sound that cuts out just as I step into my quarters. What's going on?!

I'm being serious though, I'm not sure if these are things I hadn't noticed before or if CCP threw a few new sound effects into the game.

I'm thinking the crackling fire sound may just be static noise coming from CONCORD comms or something.

I'm getting new sounds on jumping and docking as well, so I would say yes, they introduced new sounds, or if they didn't the existing sounds are now working.

That's static caused by the solar wind interacting with the energy fields generated by the stargate
