P2 on one colony? Or use factory planets? A question of efficiency.

He asked about the best way to manage a network of five planets to make coolant, so it seemed expedient to try to answer that question as opposed to how to maximize one planet while possibly decreasing the overall productivity.

I guess it would be better if I had growled, though....

I would consider to buy & import electrolytes and produce water and cooland on every planet.

In w-space it works the other way: I buy&import water and produce electrolytes and cooland.

The setup is one ECU, eight basic factories(or as much as needed) 4 advanced factories, one spaceport , one storage facility.
I move the imported P1 to the storage after import.

Routes:
electrolytes: ECU -> SP -> basic factories -> SP -> advanced factory -> SP
water: storage facility -> advanced factory -> SP

But I pay no tax at all. So dont know if this is viable in highsec.

One other thought, though please feel free to shoot this down if the taxes would kill my profits.

3 Gas planets, extracting ionic solutions. Do not convert to Electrolytes on planet
1 Ocean planet extracting aqueous liquids. Again, no P0 processors.
1 Factory planet, has full array of P0 -> P1 and P1 ->P2 to make the coolant.

This would free up powergrid on the extraction planets which would allow me to run more extractors/extractor heads and thus get more raw materials.
Meanwhile, if a pure factory planet would be running 'dry' just doing P1 > P2... I could use up some of the spare powergrid by performing all the P0 > P1 there too.

Hauling isn't a problem, as I have a mammoth with 27K m3 capacity (35K when loaded with GSCs)
I just don't know what importing/exporting all that P0 would do to my profits...

^ this is how i have it.
One ocean planet has two extractors pulling p0 materials for water
two gas planets have two extractors each pulling p0 materials for electrolytes
and one storm planet that also has two extractors except one is for water and the other is for electrolytes
finally one factory planet turning all the p0 into p1 which then converts it to p2 coolant.

granted you got to manage and haul quite a bit (especially for the water cause lol ocean planet extractors pull in so much of it) but my factory planet has been working nonstop for days with this. i cant say how much im officially spending on taxes yet cause well i havent been paying that much attention and but that'll soon change. I currently make 25 coolant every hour cause of low skills with command center upgrades but i suspect when i get them high enough i could do around 30-40 coolant an hour.

can anyone confirm if this is low or high or maybe even average for high sec pi?

Stan Smith had a snow storm over weekend guy was shoveling snow outside, so i shot him and mined the snow myself. concord never showed up. on an unrelated note, i have a court date next tuesday
